"Chinese" can be china, taiwan, hongkong, axtro stuff; live tv or vod.

Generally speaking, hd china live and vod stuff is easiest to get... yes, standalone apps.

China live tv is easy becos i think beijing has wants more people on the planet to watch their stuff!

The rest, can get some here, some there, even kodi... some in hd, some in sd.

It is working, I didn't say it is not working. Missing 8 channels. smile.gif
Channels like AEC, WLT. Earlier was 230, now 222. Provider's decoder got blocked.

AOD also missing. Celestial only left the non-HD one

I really hope it will be back soon. Luckily my flight back to Malaysia is tomorrow. Not like I watch live channels a lot but missing this piece makes it incomplete. laugh.gif

I heard quite a lot are affected. I think Awan is not. I could be wrong.

Anyway, most of the time I use Kodi to watch VOD. tongue.gif
I feel that my box is so underutilized.

Underutilized... an interesting comment.

For most light users, 2/8 gb will suffice.
Enthusiasts will be better off with 2/16gb as the apps pile up.

Your box... 32gb, right?
That will be fully utilized if u hv the speed to do biggest files on kodi quasar.
The available 20gb or so can be utilized with some 1080p hd audio remux files.
No need external storage, nice! biggrin.gif

Yes, mine is 32GB and 3GB RAM. True, but I'm not a movie person unless there are interesting shows.
I cannot wait to go back to my 50M UniFi. Coming soon. icon_idea.gif

Guys,

Looking at the Minix U9-H with the A3 remote is about rm720 on Lazada... is it worth the price?

Because reading this thread most users opt for RM300 boxes which same to have more or higher specs than the U9-H, or am I missing something out?

I mainly want to use the box to run spotify and output to speakers for music so good sound output is important and maybe English movies, dramas...

AC wireless is also important but not so much 4K

Minix is quite a reputable brand, so should be OK.

A paid goat?

If not costly, its worth it.

Of all those i tried, goat is probably the best in terms of variety, stability and video quality.

That may not have been the best move.. Here's my 2 cents;

The Minix Neo U9-H is a very good buy? Yes.
Will it satisfy you? Yes.
However, based on your (simple looking) requirements, it does not seem like you need such a device just yet. But then, who knows.. Once you have it, your needs might grow and it's a good thing that it'll still handle it. Congrats and enjoy your purchase when it arrives.. rclxms.gif

Thanks man...

I actually want something that I can output music from Spotify to a DAC amp and output the music through stereo bookshelf speakers...

The weird part of this setup would be that a screen would be a small screen so not sure if the air mouse would be comfortable to use on a smaller screen or not...

This way can select songs without phone or tablet, I wanted something to look like a desktop style permanent rather than stream from mobile...

Which device would be the best fit for this?

The other use would be to watch english movies on the tv on watch music videos from Youtube... but this would mean that it is in another location.... hmm.gif

So many leave one at the tv area and use another (cheaper?) as the music streamer with small screen?

Wow.... able to spend RM720 on it why not consider Nvidia Shield...? Much much better than Minix.
