Btw i think i heard b4 here saying that the default kodi from minix is optimized for minix. Should i be using that or use the latest official kodi?

On another note..u may try android tv custom rom by kondor. Can find it at minix forum.

I've used it since its release and never gone back to stock. Love the leanback experience of android tv os.

Nope still not possible. Can only use netflix 5.3.1 stock android version.

Learned my lesson of apps/remotes incompatible issues from Beelink GT1 Ultimate Android box too. Rii I8 keyboard remote does helps in some extent but the touch pad is still not intuitive and responsive enough. The feeling of frustration in apps navigation prompted me to upgrade to higher end certified Android TV OS devices and yes indeed, much better user experience now.
As for Astro Go, nothing beats navigating LG WebOS native AstroGo app with Magic remote. You simply just point, click and scroll.

do u know that rii i8 keyboard u bought is actually a knock off.

1... Welcome... Now you know why experienced folks continuously say that you can't get the true Asterruk experience without some work and adjustments..
2... Those apps you are experiencing navigation issues with.. You installed em or they came pre-installed? Most likely they are built for touchscreen usage and not arrow buttons.. Hence the need for a mouse to simulate touching the screen. No workaround on that.. Get used to the program or setup up Kodi for such.. Don't ask me how, it's doable and needs more work..
3... Check Minix forums for the latest firmware update.. Update yours if need be and I usually recommend an immediate factory reset afterwards.. Especially for first time usage.. Even when I buy mine stock. I always reflash and factory reset first..To clear bugs, leftover files etc.. But yours comes with pre-installed apps and services right? So it'll be harder to exactly replicate what you have now cuz you didn't do it yourself.. Oh well, do or not..
4... Seek out a compatible Android TV OS YouTube app.. I can't remember the version that works on my Neo U1. But it should work and doesn't need the airmouse function to work. Directional, keyboard and enter buttons work well.
5... Speed test app works.. Try again.

Lastly, custom ROMs + Root + AdAway or its equivalent.. Profit!

Yes.. Though I checked mine and the version I'm currently running and confirmed works shows as V2.00.19 in the apps settings page.

Try to install this first.. It's the latest YouTube for Android TV armeabi-v7a v2.05.03 apk file.

Edit...I went ahead to update to v2.05.03 as above and it works.. Media control buttons like Play/Pause works with the Neo remote too.. See screenshots below..

I believe some of us here are using Astro Go app and hoping any kind soul can tell me if you are also facing with such issue. So far, I have tried on Minix U1 and my LG V30+ mobile phone. Previously it was working flawlessly. So, I just realised the app will crash if I expand the On Demand videos. I have no issue watching those shows listed on the main page though but once I expanded the list by clicking "See All", that's when app will crash. I don't recall such issue because I was still watching it few days ago. Earlier my box was on 8.2.4 and I have updated it to the latest 8.2.6 which my phone is using but still having same problem on either version.

Can you please try and let me know? I have cleared cache and data, uninstalled, reinstalled and restarted devices but still not crashed. I tried on my iPad and everything is OK. So it could be just Android devices... I foresee I will have a miserable CNY.
