Ray Leee, I am using logitech wireless mouse, and it is working fine.
left click is a "enter"/touch action, while right click is a back action in Minix U1.

the only fallback now is MX player, i could not browse to the 2nd layer of options for switching of subtitle/audio channel.

My neighbor aunt whose more than 60 yrs old is using wireless mouse comfortably with her Z69 box

Wireless mouse is a much simpler device compared to a controller or even a standard remote control. Thanks for the suggestion, will have to test out whether the limited buttons on a wireless mouse will be sufficient to properly operate the box.

Guys, need some recommendations. I'm looking for an android box for my mom's house. Plan to use astro on the go & unifi app mainly.
Don't need a high-end box, something simple & reliable will do.

Would Mi Box (with Android TV) be a good fit or maybe an Amazon Fire TV stick?

I had a Minix U1 previously (already sold) that didn't work very well with the Astro app but I didn't really use it for that purpose so never bothered much about it. Would getting another Minix U1 be a good idea?

You mean instead of using the official astro & hypptv app we use the modded versions? Does it work well?

You may try some logistic agent, maybe cost is lower than other local courier service.

Search "马来西亚到中国快递服务" in google, guess you will find a lot agent website there.

Is there a way to limit what Youtube channel that can be viewed? Safe Mode only filters out inappropriate content, but I want to 'restrict' what channel can be viewed..

E.g. I want my son to only be able to watch videos on 'abcxyz' channel.

The hard way is for me to download each video and put it in a video player..

Done test this Astro GO mod edition and it is an older version with no benefit of using it.

This mod edition playback all channel in a very very very low quality output.

Done revert back to official version which playback in high quality HD output. This Mod edition is unnecessary.

HyppoTV is older version which now replace with playtv@unifi. This mod version just load forever and won't play.

laugh.gif Should be very bad then. Let me try on that box to see how bad the quality is. laugh.gif
It's not important for that box to have these apps but why not? laugh.gif

Easy fix.. YouTube Kids for regular Android or YouTube Kids for Android TV.

For future proofing, definitely get the Minix Neo U9-H instead. Minix devices are a sure powerhouse and run regular Android OS. Offers better apps compatibility and no hoops to jump through, unlike Android TV OS.

Thanks, will consider the Mi Box as well as the Minix U1. Any good air mouse to recommend? I have only used the Minix A2 Lite before.

I found MX3-L is cheap and has a very good review on it. I'm not sure those seller sell in Lxxxda/Sxxxe/Lxxlong is same as this MX3-L or not.

actually air mouse is not tat necessary right? wireless mouse is pretty sufficient already isnt it?
*
I think is depends on which apps or what you want to do, if you want to type while browsing website or youtube, then you may need keyboard, so air mouse + keyboard may suitable for this case.
For normal wireless mouse, you need a surface to work on it. If you do not have it in front of your TV, for example you enjoy your TV in front of TV, then your wireless mouse may not able to work perfectly.
