hey guys.. i'm contemplating in getting an android tv box to replace my Raspi2 on LibreElec..

looking at Zidoo H6 Pro, Beelink GT1 and Beelink GS1.. any user here? pros cons?

Except the 4k quality is way below if you play from TV. If you are not in 4K video, this xiaomi box is good, I use it for AOTG.

GT1 here then flashed superceleron's Android TV ROM. All good for me but noticed u mentioned libreelec then it has to be Kodi. I stopped using Kodi for half a year now so I can't comment much on it

Yup.. kodi for local content.. moving on to paid content via netflix/iflix android apps.. not looking for pass-through so dont care much.. as long as manufacturer and community support is available for the product..

.. I actually thought that one of the latest MiBox's strengths is 4K playback.

What wrong with Xiaomi 4K video quality?

I don't have single issue playback 4K content from Netflix and YouTube and it play as nice as my Panasonic TV apps.

Hi sifus I'm planning on to get an Android box and NY budget not more than rm300. Do you guys have any suggestions. And also may I know how this Android box works? Apart from installing Android applications and it's more like to Android phone. Except not using like phone.

There you go.. Check out the Garage Sales section here in the forum. Also other online stores. If in KL, there's a authorized Xiaomi store/dealer in KLCC Mall. They sell all things Xiaomi..unsure if they have the MiBox. But you can call ahead.

You are welcome. Make sure to return and leave reviews on the device, after updating to the latest firmware. Things you like, dislike.. Things it can and can't do. Will help others in future decide if it's what they want and or workarounds..

IMO, Besides Kodi.. Terrarium is pretty good, gets updated regularly and most importantly...safe to use. Lots of malware/aware ridden ehem apps out there. If possible, speed read back thru the pages.. You should find some other recommendations..

The color looks so much inferior on my Samsung TV and Nvidia Shield. Same experience for my friend who own LG TV.
