From Droid settings, select display. Select screen resolution.
Normally the 'Auto switch to best resolution' is on. This will likely choose highest resolution and highest refresh rate. But there are other available options, such as ....p60, ....p50, ....p30.
So just try one by one manually with respect to a particular content of video one interested to play.
