My M8S Pro L recently auto restart twice the last 2 days and this happens which watching YouTube. I'm not sure it's a sign the adapter is failing or problems with the box. No new app installed though.
Hi, I have an old TV with no usb and internet connection only have HDMI...which TV box should i buy as I only subscribe to Netflix? Thanks for the suggestions.
Hi I would like any other app that is not netflix but still can have subtitles...i can't live without subtitles.
Buy MI Box which has Netflix 4k then install rss player app (android TV version) to enjoy Asian drama content
new user here. just bought TX6. it's below my expectation. ever since i bought it i only enjoyed YouTube, other apps like super blehh. movie apps are so full of ads. any advice that can make my Android box experience more enjoyable?
Go find apk ie Beetv, Cinema HD, CYBERFLIX etc. You'd be able to watch more movies and series from Netflix HBO Apple Disney + Amazon Prime and Hulu without ads in HD 720

Hi guys. I read the full posts on the first page...and realized it was last updated in 2017. I presume it's quite a bit outdated now, although it did provide me with some good info.
Anyway, I'm looking for a capable android box that fulfills the following: - lag-free 4K video, Dolby vision is preferable - runs Netflix 4k / YouTube 4k - good 1080p upscaling capability - possibility of installing ahem apps for my wife (oh well) - Chromecast if possible - budget RM300-600 (can stretch a bit if needed)
advice needed......my home tv and njoi was fried by lightning few day ago during heavy thunder storm, after few days only know after trying to on them.....need to find out what's the different between smart tv and android tv?....me 50++old man just want to watch tv stations, weekends watch movies when the children are back....actual i also have unifi and unifi playTV lite package but never used before since install few years ago.....any advice for tv, andriod box or whatever needed for watching distance around 6feet away? thanks a million and sorry for this wall of words
If TV best get android TV otherwise you get normal TV then use ATV version boxes especially unroot version ie Mibox, Mecool KM3/KM9 which I think has been very reliable at least for me the last few years of ownership 😜

Can some1 pls enlighten me how do i properly shutdown my tanix tx3? I did hold my remote power button to bring up the power menu and then "power off". Tv screen will show shutting down and the clock for the box will also go blank. But for some reason, later on the box will power back ON again. The clock screen on the box is ON and when i ON my TV, im in the main menu again. WTH?
Typically just press power button and it'll shut down the entire box instead of going to standby mode. Well this is std for proper ATV boxes unless you go into CEC setting to check yourself

Thanks! The earlier KM boxes looked pretty darn up to date with specs but there was the issue of SD only Netflix playback while a couple of them finally have a fix for FHD playback. The reason I wanted to run Netflix off the box is to have VPN installed but I could still look at installing it at the router level too. The KM2 looks decent on paper though they seem to have skimped a bit on general specs but at least it's Netflix certified. Will hold off the purchase until reviews and user feedback is available ...
Probably dealing with excess junk... Especially if you haven't spring cleaned in awhile. But first, what ROM version are you running and is it the latest? Searched around and this seems to be the last stock firmware available for the device. Stock Android Oreo 8.1. Sometimes, all that is needed is a factory reset to clear stuff. However, I would recommend just USB flashing this over what you have now. Should help. Alternatively, you can go down the custom ROM route. Perhaps try this atvXperience v3 custom ROM. It's based on Android TV OS..Download links here....
Once you go ATV version all others like meh....👎👎👎
Which app? Both Astro On The Go & Google Chrome are not available. Astro untouch official app you can sideload but you can't run at all it gets restricted error for not download frm playstore. Mod astro just Google astro mod muse
i can confirm it ain't working and available on play store
For Streaming, it did brilliantly up to 4K HDR / Dolby Vision (in support TV). Most the time instant sharp and clear, I find it did much better than Apple TV 4K especially Netflix where Apple TV 4K need a little time to catch up to be sharp and clear. Off course open any apps was instant in Apple TV 4K but take a little times in Chromecast with Google TV. (Ignore Amazon Prime Video, this apps is slow in any platform).
Getting 4k on Disney+? Have reports mentioning this limitation

I was thinking to get myself a Mi Box S, but then my kids love playing Android games. They’ve actually installed tons of games on my TX6, and I feel its kinda laggy now. Should I get myself something better like Nvidia Shield Pro or any other suggestions? How is the gaming experience on Nvidia Shield Pro? Would my kids be able to play multiplayers? I wouldnt want them to pull hairs fighting over a single remote/gamepad. And what gamepads are good for Nvidia Shield Pro? Thanks in advance for your help!
GameSir G4S is one good option which is inexpensive and if 2 kids love playing android games, yes, recommended to go NS Pro
