Just thinking do you prefer to buy extra for an empty tv box or already come with preinstalled apps?

As I see those empty boxes is more cheaper by 100 bucks compare to those come with preinstalled apps. Example, for me, I have install Kodi before on my own. So was just thinking is those preinstalled anything special that I can install on my own just by search apk around or through playstore?

I buy empty, then installed on my own. May be I'm missing something, but that the advise from sifu here. Not that difficult to do.

Get used to find it in play store. Using sideloaded apk, working fine now. Lol.

Ps: End up watching Portugal vs Morocco on the phone  while cursing to astro

Astro go only on phones it's not even supported for tablet. As everyone here I sideload astro go for use in Android box and tablet.

Alamak! box dying seasons. May be time to get a back-up box, for my KM8-pro, 912. Or maybe put this box as back-up.

Tempted on RK3399 box. Is it worth it?

I could be wrong.. But last I checked, I'm not a fan of that processor.. AMLogic is more open with their source code for devs to work with.

Thanks, as the box currently is 912, just thinking of another flavor... will keep this in mind.

I am re-set up an htpc to make use of this z8350 atom based I found lying around. Just install a fresh win10, and plan to use mainly for streaming.

Feel too slow, any suggestion on how to get this box up to Android Box, standard?

Linux... or Kodi and BlueStacks on Windows... FYI, depending on content type you play, you might later find that some won't play so smooth with that hardware.

Just tried bluestack, nearly not runnable. S have to go with native windows app. Kodi ok, may be later try the usual add-ons
