If I go back hometown, my box is at downstairs while router is at upstairs. Still can get 280Mbps from 500Mbps connection. I'm using Minix U1 but I heard Minix boxes have good WiFi.

With external antenna it should have if not....

It's not a literal "performance multipled by 2".. Just in name.. But significant improvement over S912 and others.. i think it's only bested by the Shield and RK3399 processors as those guys boast 2Ghz..
*
Well with 3gb ram on M8S Pro L I am already impressed with the fluidity and speed, I'm expecting the KM9 would be better performer albeit stable firmware

So none here has purchase or gotten theirs yet?

For everyone with Mecool Netflix problem, I am using temporary workaround suggested in Freaktab

Google for netflix 6.20.0 build 33 31571 beta
This is the mobile version, sideload install APK into box and run Black Netflix

SD definition but better than nothing
*
Currently need to switch box to watch Netflix HD via ps4. I have another ps3 lying around, not sure that can be used for Netflix

Oh I see.. Possible to install and test? You can uninstall later  sweat.gif... I'd like to know if they work before flashing it over the stock ROM for a pal. Otherwise, the ROM's smooth so far? Kodi, ehem apps, 4K playback etc?..

You don't shy shy la, you bought this for yourself kan... tongue.gif

Btw yours isn't LB version right?

Has anyone tried out the latest Mecool M8s PRO LB Tv Stock nexus rom?

When I bought this device for less than 250 on Laz, thought there was no more hope for customising the rom, by default is a good spec of box, but because of the stock Mecool interface and UI, is really bland.

Lo and behold, just a few days ago was simply googling for it again, and finally this guy Magendaz has finally released for the LB version which was also notoriously famous for its Bluetooth and WiFi issues when flashed with another non LB firmwares.

It was really fairly easy to install, just download the OTA update and save it on my USB and then proceeded to using the OTA function in the stock firmware. Just needed one more factory reset to remove the pesky auto-reboot when you're on the new firmware.

All is fine now, smoother and more pleasant looking Android OS UI.

But the MIRACAST function sucks big time, still lagging and the audio is being delayed.

Need to check this out since able to update via usb... Btw thought the stock UI is already good, no?

There are pictures here, but I suggest you flash it over through OTA update, and factory reset once more to eliminate the autoreboot. Also the firmware is PRE ROOTED with TWRP as well. Beware.
*
Ok... think i'll wait awhile till i have a backup box since the android os is fine with me for now.. Thanks

Off topic, heard Netflix block apple devices now...

Any news of new replacement model?
QUOTE(voncrane @ Feb 18 2019, 09:08 PM)
Yep.. It's amazing that no other manufacturer has been able to come close to it, much less toppling it from it's number one spot. Shows how much work dem Nvidia engineers and devs put into it..

You can go ahead to purchase it and try it out.. Technically it should work, seeing as it works on it's older sibling.. the MeCool M8S Pro L.

The All New KM3 4GB/64GB

Looks very legit.... Google certified

Then again after the last fiasco need to take it with a pinch of salt

I'm happy they specced it out with 4GB DDR4 RAM + 64GB EMMC ROM... This if you ask me should be the minimum or standard for flagship boxes.. Particularly the ROM storage part. Cuz most would want to play games (faster & more energy efficient DDR4 helps greatly here too) and perhaps stream higher bitrate files on it. With 5xGB+ free ROM, it's good. It does look Google certified.. But of course, since the Netflix logo or wordings are missing, I don't think it's Netflix certified too.. Lastly, my major downside on their latest (if not all) boxes is that MeCool still ships out with 100Mbps ethernet ports.. C'mon, Gigabit should be standard d.. Without which it's still hard for me to justify them over Minix.
*
I agreed the std these days should be 4gb ddr4 although I'm pretty happy with 3gb ddr3 earlier sibling
I'm gonna just order this today and try out and pray real hard is Netflix certified... Haha

You wait GuyM receive first and check.. If truly Google certified, it should be unrooted. Or best case, it's the hide-able root type.

hi. Anyone that already bought Mecool KM9 (Goolgle Certified) or Mecool KM3 (Google Certified) care to give some review on the performance?

Can both devices output Dolby Atmos/ DTS X sound format to the receiver?

Currently using Kodi on Sony Androids TV, and the Pass-trough not working properly on Leia.

Not sure was very interested until the Netflix fiasco thingy came up... I've got an MXQ G12 android TV OS with supposedly HD Netflix coming my way for play
