QUOTE(voncrane @ Jul 30 2017, 04:09 PM) Don't deceive yourself bruh... Netflix blocks on server side, so if they don't like a device, they don't.. If Netflix in HD is so important, use the smart TV app on a smart TV, or get a device that's 100% approved by Netflix (listed on their site)... Else, you'll be hunting down apks and having to deal with Netflix errors during playback. The guys at Netflix are really good and they care about licensing stuff now.. So, it's only a matter of time before that modified apk is blocked. Thx bro. Sorry for the late reply.Since our beloved msian broadcasting networks will soon (next year) ditch analog and move onto digital, im still keeping the Mecool K I Pro as an option due to its dvb feature. (and cheap at the moment, less than rm200). Currently, i have a CST K2 DVB box (±rm60) & digital antenna to watch the msia myFreeview channels. Apart from that, regarding Rockchip boxes, i heard and read through numerous forums that it's better to avoid them due to kodi issues. Is it still an issue after 17.3 update? Or it's the SoC issue? Some rockchip devices im eyeing at are H96 Max, Yundoo Y8.. Next, boxes with hard drive support. Beelink SEA, Himedia Q10 Pro. Can just slot in my hdisk filled with movies/dramas for wifey.. no nd to disturb my pc anymore hehe.. And finally, Minix boxes. Great support, thus pricey. Boxes with soc S905 sufficient enough for 2017 or should get S912 instead? Main idea.. for wifey, watch/stream all her kdrama utube instagram etc.. and sometimes games during wkends with the kids. QUOTE(futra @ Aug 3 2017, 05:28 PM) Thx bro. Sorry for the late reply. Yup....AFAIK, Rockchip devices are still sorting a couple things out and Kodi performance is still troublesome. I believe, 17.3 probably made it worse. RC's latest and upcoming chip are quite powerful, no doubt.. Just that the software or manufacturers aren't paying much attention to them now.. Or RC isn't quick to release code to help.. So, better safe than sorry.Since our beloved msian broadcasting networks will soon (next year) ditch analog and move onto digital, im still keeping the Mecool K I Pro as an option due to its dvb feature. IMHO... If flagship boxes from the likes of Minix and HiMedia is within your budget, go with em.. For future proofing, It's the Minix Neo U9-H (not the Neo U1), especially for Kodi support and general ass-kicking. I can't remember who, recently there was a user who had troubles deciding between it and the Q10 Pro.. Owners of the devices dropped by to share their respective results. Isolate my posts or go back a couple pages to see.. Or there's page one too. Should help with the decision. Either way, depending on your requirements, they are both above average boxes. |
