Gamerscode sells acekard 2i in the garage, so far he's the cheapest that I've seen.. i bought my dsi with him that comes with acekard and so far no prob, and it's not a clone cuz it can use the latest akaio 1.5. There's one more person that's selling acekard cheap too in the garage, you might want to search.
don't buy from stores, i've asked low yat, sg. wang and digital mall PJ and majority only have R4 and its clones.. and like 2 or 3 stores that do carry acekard sells it over RM1xx.. they said it's more expensive than R4 which is BS lol if you want cheaper, deal-extreme.com sells only USD$12 with free shipping.. but it's very slooooow

Bear in mind that currently NDSi LL is released in Japan only, so it's all in Japanese and DSiware is region locked.
If you don't mind all the extra features, NDSL is a good choice as it's cheaper, and if you play GBA and guitar hero or other expansion that uses GBA slot.. oh and longer battery life.
But for me, I prefer NDSi because of the dsiware, better wifi, and especially camera.. I looooooooove the camera lol bigger screen although DSi LL's screen must be nicer, plus brighter and better sound. Better buttons and slightly thinner console. No worries on the DSi only games though.. so far only a few that has been released (hybrid and 1 dsi only) so if that's not your major concern, then it's not important lol

to me DSi is much better... a bit bigger screen, better sound, camera, better menu, better wifi connectivity, downloadable dsiware, able to directly upload pics taken with the cam to facebook, sd card for music, and possible dsi-only games...
the only con is that it has no gba slot as i'm a huge fan of guitar hero.. so if gba is your big thing, definitely lite is for you.. but if you want lite features plus something more and better, then dsi for you
