RM5xx is just the NDS/L only.

The RM7xx are the packages, usually comes with R4, 1/2gb transflash/mini-SD, screen protector, and maybe a pouch.

but the mic is proprietary format right?

planning to get a headset...
*
Yes, you'll need to get the official headset from Nintendo cause there's a special port on the DS made for the headset.

Hello Guys,
Just want to ask. The usual DSlite price of RM550 is for flashed but without the R4 card? How much cheaper would it be if NDSL is bundled with R4? R4 = RM120. Then, why the RM700 price tag? Any recommendations?

P/S: I can wait but need it before Christmas. Considering buying from strongbaby's bulk.
*
The RM700 price tag *usually* comes bundled with other *necessary* things like pouch/case, mini-SD card, screen-protector, cloth, and etc. etc.

I will get my own pouch, miniSD or cloth. I just need the Console, R4 and screen protector. Isn't it still overpriced?
*
Overpriced for what? The bundle? You can get a standalone DS with R4 if you wanted to. Just need to ask the person of whom you're buying from.

The bundle, IMO, is kinda good for starters. Usually people who end up buying the handheld alone would end up purchasing extra(s) later..

Let's do some maths:

DS - RM550+/-
R4 - RM120+/-
Mini-SD 1Gb - RM60+/-
Screen protector ORI - RM30-40 +/-
Pouch (average type) - RM20-50

RM700+ also.

For about RM700, you'll get:

1 x NDS Lite
1 x R4
1 x Mini-SD (1gb?)
1 x Screen protector

Additionally, you might get:

1 x Pouch
1 x Free Gift

All this depends on who you buy from.

It's a flash cart. Can be used to run various homebrew programs like DSOrganize and Moonshell.

Another question ...

Before the game starts, you can adjust the screen brightness on the top left ('light' symbol), right?  what is that 'R' symbol on the top right?  what does it do when it changes fr red to green???
*
This should be in flash-cart discussion.

And that red/green button there is for Rumble(vibration) feature if available.

Hey, I'm not sure if this is the right place for this question, but if i get a DS from UK, can i play games with another DS that is bought from other place like Asia?
*
All DS's are the same actually. Except for voltage intake.

So yes, DS UK, and DS Asia can play with each other, so long as the game is same.

@ mickeynic: If you did a little research on the handheld you were gonna buy, you'll find out that there's no way a NDSL will accept a memory stick. The NDSL/NDS only accepts game cartridges of slot-1 size, and GBA size.

Yes, it's perfectly fine to charge overnight, as the DS turns itself off once it's full. Give 2-4 hours then the charging light will be gone.

Hi Guys,

I just bought a NDS and am really clueless about it. It was bundled with the EDGE card and i was told by the game shop ppl i can download 'softwares' from the net. ANybody know any sites i can download these softwares from? I tried googling it, mostly is for R4. Is there any compatibility issue on 'softwares' loaded on R4 and on EDGE? PLS HELP.
