I came from a UEC student background, I went to a chinese independent school.

Got offered Electrical Engineering from NUS and Computer Engineering from NTU.
I was also offered by SUTD, but I dont think I'd can afford as it is much more expensive.
The thing is, I like technology, so I figured that if I studied Computer Engineering I'd be on a safe side as I'll be studying about both hardware and software.

What I want from the university is to provide me a good stepping stone for future jobs and provide me a great university experience,

What do you guys think? Your opinions are highly appreciated!

Course > uni. If ure keen to study computer engineering, go for ntu. Both unis are equally good and make no difference in the eyes of the employers. Both provides you a great stepping stones in future career, but I would suggest Computer eng> E eng as future finance sector relies heavily on technology and computer eng graduates will be in a great demand.

Yes they include electronics such as diodes and semiconductors in their modules.
But I'm not really keen about electrical components.
Does it suggest that I am not suited to join electrical engineering?
I don't really know what I want to learn, but computer engineering seems like a good choice cause it has both hardware and software.
As to the future prospects, that is one the reason I chose computer engineering
Hehe

True as well, but there are some techniques that can be only taught by some.

Thank you all for your opinions
All in all I'd like to declare something, I love technology, but I'm not sure whether I like diodes and circuit boards.
It really seems as though computer engineering is a better choice, but the opportunity of studying in NUS and the opportunities it will provide me with is a bit tempting.  unsure.gif

As for opportunity, I think its equal between Nus n Ntu, if ure bright, opportunity will arise. Ranking doesn't matter much when it comes to comparison between the 3 local unis in s'pore. They are all the same for employers. 3 unis have their own pros n cons and uniqueness as well. Smu has totally different learning style compare to nus n ntu. Nus has dentistry n pharmacy while ntu is the only one provides aerospace eng. I would really suggest to go after comp eng if u really likes it. It is a trend nowadays local singaporeans are opting for a computing eng+ business double degree as this combination gives them a really sharp edge in the finance industry.
