Hi all, I've bought my insurance from an AIA agent recommended by my father 3 years ago when I first graduated from Uni. Shortly after my first policy, she kept pushing me to make further purchases, but I did not go for any (I didn't think it was needed). Thereafter, her services has gone from bad to worse. Nowadays her service and response has been really bad. I was reevaluating my policy and my texts / questions were not answered, she just asked me to check online.

Is it still possible for me to change my insurance agent at this stage without terminating my current policy? If her service is so bad now, I can't imagine how it would be later when I fall ill and need to make claims. Even my father and brother policies are managed by this agent.

Well you can't just switch agent just like that, you'll need to write in to AIA with your reasons on why you want to change your agent.

Another way would be self service if you can't rely on your current agent.

What are the chances for successful agent changes?

Seems like insurance agents can just sell and walk away without any after sales service while continue to get their 6 years commission.
