Can anyone shed some light why during admission with AIA Regular Med Plan 250 card, the patient still need to submit a 30k deposit in cash to the hospital before admission? Panel hospital and doctor. Any reason for this?

I'm not here to debate on the profile/criteria of a "best agent". It's really a waste of my time, your time, etc.

xpole had a question: "which of my 3 good friends should I buy from?"

Now here are my assumptions:
1) xpole is not an idiot.
2) his 3 good friends are adequately knowledgeable
3) his problem is more of managing expectations of his 3 good friends.

Long story short, you can have a very knowledgeable, analytical new agent.. but he can't survive in the industry. What's the use?
You can have a product pusher, or what we call a fool, to bug you every now on then on yet another product. Slightly better than the first.
Or you can have someone adequately knowledgeable and stood the test of time in the industry, making a living and a career out of it.

Your statement is as if you disagreed that China is full of Chinese because you saw a black person born and raised in China.

Probably it's best you can explain a little on when did the policy got in forced and what type of claim is it?

Which hospital were you admitted?

Maybe you can please describe further the scenario?

1. The type of admission, eg accidental or illness?

2. Time of admission (during office hour or off working hours or during Public Holiday?)

3. After the next working day, was the client being refunded of the deposit after the GL is approved?

4. How long has the medical card been in force?

Will post more information later but for the next few days I'll be busy dropping by the hospital first.

FYI the insurance has been since year 2007, then changed to a new medical card in 2013.

Alright, hope to hear from you soon. You may also contact your current AIA Agent if you have any doubts.

Normally within 3 hours, you need to check with the Hospital whether have they notified AIA or not.

In this case, AIA is not to be blamed for the delay but the hospital, sometimes it's because there are some paperwork or doctor haven't sign off the bills etc and didn't send the billing for AIA to issue the GL.

Guys Guys Guys!! I need your help.

I'm currently service two insurance under Investment link type.

I noticed that the investment fund which is high risk doesn't seems to be earning well. Averagely it's getting only nearly 4% annually for 5years.

Now my question is, Is it possible for me to take out this investment so that I can have my own decision to invest in which fund or for any other usage?

what is the down side? Anyone did that before?

4% for an insurance product is considered above average considering it's only been 5 years for a high risk profile.

If you decide to take this money out, then might as well opt for a term insurance and invest the rest of the money. But you have to bear in mind that any difference that you earn from your own investment needs to be kept for your insurance in the future as your premium increases.

If you don't have the discipline to do the above then you will have problem in the future in managing your insurance policies.

Hi I don't know if this is the right thread for my question.

I am looking for travel insurance that cover for family going new zealand for 2 weeks but specifically want policy that can cover motorhome rental excess as high as NZD3000.

Currently the motorhome that I booked has an excess of NZD3000. To reduce the excess to nil I need to take their comprehensive excess reduction plan which cost NZD69 per day and total for 10 days is NZD690, that around RM2000 just for their insurance which is ridiculously insane!

Hi. I was told that I needed a medical card - I don't have any.

36 y.o, non smoker, female, working in an office, healthy (just gone through med check up, full 2 months ago).

i am looking for a card that rewards healthy policy holder - just to motivate myself, up to 90 years old, at the lowest cost possible. i don't mind having r&b coverage for min amount.

recommendations?

That's a good question.

I think AIA Vitality program will benefit you in terms of rewarding you for being healthy.

You can check out the following list for life insurance companies in Malaysia here: https://www.liam.org.my/index.php/life-insu...ember-companies

As for the particulars you ask about rewarding a healthy lifestyle, I only know AIA does that. As to whether it's the lowest cost, that's where you need to do your homework. 😀

Best,
Jiansheng
