Do any of you guys know where to get Nike Romaleos in Malaysia? Online order is fine because I know my size.

At this point I'm even considering ordering internationally, but shipping is damned expensive, and most of the times they won't even ship to Msia. (Amazon)

I'm specifically looking for Nike Romaleos. I had the 1st generation in the past and they were the bomb, I could pretty much wear them all the time and only take them off for deadlifts or Pendlay rows.

Right now I'm using the Innov-8 Fastlifts, have been using them for 2 years or so and they still feel so awkward to do anything else other than squatting or power cleans. Don't get me wrong they are comfortable AF, they're just not for me.

Sorry to necro this thread, but if any of you guys were curious, I got the Romaleos 2 on this website: https://www.athleteps.com/

Most of the colours are stocked, and it's also slightly cheaper than Amazon, which only offers 2 colours in stock and would take 3-4 months to get an unconventionally large shoe size.

You'll find more in-depth reviews online, but from my perspective it's a good shoe, albiet wearing it for the entire workout vs. only using them for squats/cleans/etc. I wear it for the entire workout because I really don't care much to bring multiple pairs of shoes, plus I'm not looking to keep it pristine to resell.

They are VERY heavy vs. the other lifting shoes like Innov-8 fastlifts, but it's not necessarily a bad thing. You will feel FAR more secure when you stamp the ground doing power cleans, vs using a lighter shoe, which IMO are one of the best trap builders and overall athletic strength. Also, it really translates well to your deadlift.

Plus, in terms of general aesthetics, tilted front delts narrow your shoulders and make you look a lot less aesthetic when relaxed. Big traps are a must, but traps also narrow your shoulders, the best thing you can do is develop your rear delts and upper back to keep good posture. Obviously cleans and pendlays aren't the only way to work traps & rear delts, but they work really well. Obviously if you haven't been training for awhile none of this matters untill you are near your genetic limit, of course, so I'm not saying you should focus so much on minor details. Main point is Oly shoes are a great investment if you are serious about lifting.

IMO wrestling shoes are the same as squatting barefoot, though. So it would be a waste of cash if your gym allowed barefoot squatting. Obv if you're not comfortable squatting barefoot then go right ahead, whatever makes you lift more. Lifting is a mental game man.

Wrestling shoes are flat, flexible and keep you in close contact with the ground, Oly shoes have an elevated heel and are usually VERY unflexible, because you're not supposed to bend your feet. The Romaleos literally strap over the balls of your feet as well as your mid foot to force you against the sole. AFAIK all lifting shoes have at least one strap, certain types have 2 straps.

For me, they are absolutely essential for squatting & power cleans. I have long femurs and a lot of forward lean. so the elevated heel lets me stay more upright. You only have to take them off for deadlifts (the elevated heel would cause you to be doing a deficit DL of sorts).
