1st thing to see is make sure the connector for pipe is not made of plastic or its replaceable. Most cheap ones use plastic and cannot replace. Once it is broken, ur washer becomes useless

Karcher actually also not very reliable nowadays also. Quite easy to leak. The cheap ones lack the lancet options and attachments and the hose is purposely made shorter.

Actually. In some ways, most brands are also like that. China made anyways.

The other thing is also depending on your care and how often you use it. I don't use it often and i think at some point i realize it started leaking some oil when i used it after quite some period of inactivity. I took it to karcher service center after it failed in glenmarie and they quote me a couple hundred just to fix it. I learned from the net it can be fixed for real cheap but the seals could not be found in Malaysia and karcher refuses to sell it to consumers. Blardy hell. There goes almost 600 bucks.

that's costly. do u know how much bar i need if i wanted to use it to clean stain on my toilet tiles and outdoor wall?

if it wont last long. no point invest in expensive model. then i will consider K2 360. or even below if 100bar can handle what i need.

the sales person told me. K4 with water cooler. advantage is that you may operate it over 30min non stop. normal K3 or below model shall not over 30min non stop running. to prevent over heat.

Thanks

Actually i used before both the 110psi and 100psi ones. It really feels no different for home use. If you are talking about taking mold off paint or trying to get old paint off your wall. That seems to be another story meant for industrial based washers la.

For me, the difference between the cheapest karcher that runs at 100psi and mine that runs at 110psi is really just the accessories. The base model does not have that variopower or something lancet where you can adjust pressure. But i have mine on max anyways most of the time. Both can easily clean mold in between the tiles and also the thin molds on the ground if you point the lancet very close to it. It actually managed to even take off those paint that are on the verge of peeling off as well.

Actually i think you should not run and pressure jets over long periods of time. Usually is 20 minutes to lengthen it's life span. Run time means you keep the jet spraying and not just by keeping it turned on as the motor stops pumping as long as the water does not vacate the unit.

Appreciate your advise. u make my choice from 130 bar drop to 100 bar. haha. i may consider cheaper model. anything wrong. not that hurt.

karcher offer 1yr warranty and bosch is half year. thus. may still take karcher.

Why if buy from GEMFIVE, there is no warranty given for Karcher? Is that we can register ourself at Karcher website for the warranty? how to claim then? rclxm9.gif

I don't know what you want to do la. But it seems 100 psi is enough for most home use for myself. You only need to consider if the additional accessories is worth buying after the initial purchase as separate or get a more premium set with most of the accessories that you want or might not want included as it might be cheaper that way. That is the only tipping point for me to go to the more expensive unit as they are very evil in that sense to skimp out on the cheap washers.

If it is truly karcher malaysia set. You just need to bring it to Karcher service centre in glenmarie with the proof of purchase and they will honor it. I believe the new karcher shop in Taman Megah owned by CT Hardware also might accept warranty cases but not 100% sure.

I think the most important thing for me is to get the model with self-priming. So you can save a lot of your water bill by using collected rain water

If you plan to use it for a long period of time, better get watercooling. Otherwise you'd have to let it rest awhile after 20mins of using due to the motor overheating.

Important to get a model with cooling system. Don't get cheap models that overheat after 20-30 minutes. Most likely the motor will spoil after a few uses. Using marcher 3.5K and still running

Thanks for the respond.

Anyone know if Bosch have the accessory to buy/add on in the future? Eg: Foam Jet

Is Bosch really unreliable as compare to Karcher? As I plan to get Bosch either one from the below.

http://www.bosch-pt.com.my/my/en/bosch-pow.../aqt-33-10.html

http://www.bosch-pt.com.my/my/en/bosch-pow.../aqt-33-11.html

Which one to go to if I can only choose 2 from the above?

* I only use it for home floor/wall cleaning and car cleaning.

Hope someone can clarify.

Thanks. thumbup.gif

I did and it was so bad

Aqt-38, if not mistaken was the top model at that time

Problems
1. Changed trigger gun 3 times , just failed without warning leaking like a sieve. Second gun also the same , and finally third gun then sold it
2. Auto stop facked off, unit will pulse itself with no trigger pressed , on and off and on and off, the pressure sensor was leaking it couldn't hold pressure , each time the pressure dropped it ran then stop then drop run again
3. Sent to fix no.2 , return to me fucking leaking AGAIN very next day, claim they tested it , I said go get facked, changed entire pump body

When it came back, put it up for sale immediately , sold it.

Age of the unit is 1.5 years

When I took it apart to check myself , the parts used are so cheap and bad , you can bring to court as evidence of specially engineered to fail. It is that rubbish their products.

Switch to karcher no issues. Cheapest karcher cleaner lasted 3 years before it gave out before the Bosch unit came along, karcher even gave me parts for free for one repair because they had scrap units they could scavenge from.

Wow, even AQT 38 got such problem, I think I'm not even dare to try the cheaper model like 33-10 or 33-11. Do you have warranty on the Bosch Unit? Ever sent the unit during the warranty period before? Or it's damaged only after the warranty?

May I know which model are you using from Karcher? Is it K1? Since it's the cheapest. rclxms.gif

The gun crapped out during warranty, the pressure sensor right after warranty ended, second gun out of warranty.

I wrote a very angry email to Bosch and they agreed to repair the unit goodwill but they first accused that I broke the unit by not using it enough , I aksed , are you saying all those that are sitting in shopping malls are doomed to fail ?

I used K1 before Bosch , champion thing lasted three years with a lot of use no problems , then the cooling fan chewed itself up but karcher gave me a free replacement they scavenged in their parts bin. Just over email they said come collect it we found one.

Now I moved to k4 premium

Lol, still consider the Karcher then, the gun from Karcher is also plastics made right? but higher quality compare to Bosch?

You mean the K1 you used before, the only thing damaged is the cooling fan? Wow...

I guess K4 Premium can go for non stop as they have self cooling water motor? and K1 need to stop after continue running for around half and hours am I right?

Actually, I'm from Sarawak, wish to purchase from Gemfive, the supplier under Tesco. The only problem is Tesco not provide any warranty of the unit and also they don't give that Dirt Blaster lance for wall or floor dirt cleaning. Only have normal lance for car wash. Other seller got free Dirt Blaster but not sending to EM. If from Lelong website, the Dirt Blaster lance cost RM80. Disappointed on this. sad.gif

Do you still remember the previous K1 you use? Is that they only give you normal lance for car cleaning? Are you using it for floor or wall cleaning using that lance too? How's the result? Or you actually have 2 lances, one is Normal lance for car and another one is Dirt Blaster specially for Floor or wall cleaning?

If Tesco don't provide warranty, can I register it on Karcher website for the warranty? Or the only warranty come from the seller itself? And if they don't provide warranty, then no choice?

Thanks thumbup.gif

Anyone know if Bosch have the accessory to buy/add on in the future? Eg: Foam Jet

Is Bosch really unreliable as compare to Karcher? As I plan to get Bosch either one from the below.

http://www.bosch-pt.com.my/my/en/bosch-pow.../aqt-33-11.html

Which one to go to if I can only choose 2 from the above?

* I only use it for home floor/wall cleaning and car cleaning.

Hope someone can clarify.

Thanks. thumbup.gif

If i am not wrong. Bosch has a 6 month warranty vs Karcher having a 1 year warranty. Do give that a check.

Most likely both also quite capable. Karcher would be more easily to acquire any accessories. You can just go to the Karcher HQ in glenmarie or the one owned by CT Hardware at Taman Megah. Bosch on the other hand i seldom notice and i think most likely will need to depend on places like Ace Hardware or something. I think there is a Bosch shop around the Karcher shop in Taman Megah as well. I can't recall correctly, might be owned by CT as well.

You can most likely view it on their website, but never sure if they are ever brought into MY. Check before buy though.

Yes K1 only one nozzle nothing else , actually the sort blaster is not that fantastic also , same as using the normal nozzle just you need to put it a lot closer . I used it for all sorts of work , car wash , wash walls, floor everything just run and run. Eventually the pump head also failed but it had worked hard . I never stopped to let it cool really just continue.

Th Bosch's nozzle internal engineering is total flake , there is no positive sealing mechanism , only depending on grease to make the sealing. The karcher nozzle had lasted 3 full years no problem and I still keep it.

Warranty I think karcher should honor anywhere it is bought

Great to hear that... rclxms.gif so now you are moving to K4 Premium after the Pump Head of K1 failed?

Any big differences in term of Pressure between this 2 units? Very obvious? rclxm9.gif

Already had the k4 close to a year

Obvious enough because from carbon motor to induction motor

And quieter because fully enclosed , no need for fans

Oh I see, the sound from fans, I thought it's from the motor itself...

At the moment I will buy the budget unit K1 first as it's the only unit that Tesco can send to Sarawak, will find the better/premium unit from Karcher next time.

Thanks a lot for your help rcracer rclxms.gif thumbup.gif
