Hey guys, Digi are charging me RM46 for international SMS that I never even did. The calls are made to the UK, USA and Canada. What do I do ?

They made multiple SMS to those country.
Thank you.

the uk number i know for sure is apple's doing. they are the sms sent silently to activate imessage or facetime.

you are using iphone arent you? everytime you change sim card, power on your phone or disable flight mode, an international sms might be sent silently by ios even if you have facetime and imessage turned off. there is no effective way of preventing it.

i kept losing my credits this way, and i'm glad i'm not on postpaid.

xiaomi phone?

My Mom also kena such thing before, using Xiaomi phone.
1st time went to digi, they say might be tertekan those annoying spam, and will refund within 2 weeks.
after 2 weeks still no refund then go digi again, now they twist the story say its xiaomi phone problem because of the famous country code issue.
they even demand to check the phone whether got any sms record stored or not, but sadly the phone was reset earlier due to some prob..

end up lazy to argue and went home, luckily its prepaid just less than RM10.

Last week I went to Singapore for a few days. Bought a SingTel Tourist Sim while there.
Came back, put back the Digi Sim into the iPhone. Didn't find any credit deducted from the Prepaid Account.

Weard. I'm iPhone user for a long time and didn't get such charges from Digi. The only thing I encounter last time is internet charges, about RM1-RM3 per day even my mobile data is turn off. After I complain to MCMC Digi refunded me about RM20 of the charges and since then everything is ok.

it is not a sure to happen thing. it depends on a number of factors. nobody knows what exactly they are except apple. google "imessage international sms" and you will see many complaints. it even happened on my singapore m1 card. if yours didn't get deducted, then you should be thankful.

NumberingPlans locates the 1-336-xxx-xxxx number to Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Most likely cause is rogue app or malware.
