I was searching for some PDA phones the other day, specifically an O2 Mini or a Sony Ericsson M600i.

I made a couple of offers to several sellers, and this guy Jason is one of them.

My first PM to him:
"RM900. But COD after the 20th of February."

And this was his reply:
"bro are you serious or not? how to contact u"

Please note that he did not agree nor rejected my offer.

Okay, so after that, several sellers offered me a better price, so I did not reply to his previous PM, so I expect it to be quite obvious that by not replying his PM, I am not interested in his unit anymore.

After a couple of days, I received this PM from him:
"you f***ing idiot, don't want to buy don't make stupid offers and waste people's time."

And he posted this in his selling thread:
"not interested to sell below rm800. the guy who made the rm900 offer FFK. open to offers again."

Anyway, back to his PM, I replied:
"You have a problem, come out and meet me.

As far as I remember, we didn't make a concrete agreement on meeting up or I am buying your phone. The last PM I sent you was if we can COD after the 20th, that's all.

You have the guts, come out and call me a f***ing idiot in person."

Obviously I was agitated receiving a PM like this.

Then, he replied:
"bring it. wangsa maju curry house this friday, 9.30pm onwards. u have my number."

After thinking about it, I decided that this was just a small misunderstanding, so I tried explaining to him again:
"Haha I'm not even from that area. I don't think I have the time and effort to drive all the way down to entertain these trivial issues. But just remember, no matter how big shot you think you are, there's always someone out there bigger than you.

Whatever it is, I did not agree on anything regarding buying your phone. I was still considering on your phone to which another seller offered me another better price, WHICH IS WHY I STOPPED REPLYING SO I WON'T GIVE YOU FURTHER HOPES ANYMORE.

I'm sorry if a simple query gave you a glimpse of hope. I will not apologize nor will I proceed in arguing. Good luck in your sales.
Anyway, all the best for your sales,"

To which he replied again:
"you ask me to come out, bring it, now you balls shrink? fine, where you from? give me your address and i'll come to your house and call you to your face.

you didn't ask a question, you made an offer clear and blunt. there was no if, no question marks, no nothing. it was just RM900 COD after 20th feb. so you either apologize, or we can sort this out mano-o-mano"


And my second attempt of explaining nicely:
"I offered, but you didn't agree to it, did you? All you said was "What's your contact? Where to deal?". And I stopped replying after that 'cause I don't want to give you the impression that I am still interested.

Forget about meeting up, this is too trivial and stupid of a reason. I don't want to get my hands dirty for such a small stuff. I wouldn't want to cause a scene to my group of people because of some misunderstanding on the internet.

If you think my balls shrank, then so be it wink.gif I'm just acting like a grown up, and not barking profanities at you."

And the latest reply from him:
"ol, group of people? yeah, i guess you need to get other people to sort your stuff out. you're not man enough to sort your own problems out yourself. hahahahahahaha.

So here I am. With my new M600i, a very angered member, and a small misunderstanding.

What do you guys think? Did I FFK him by not replying his PM so that he won't still think I'm interested? By my logic, I offered him a price and a date, he did not decline nor reject but just asked for my contact and location, I decided not to reply to show that I'm not interested anymore, and I get all these.

I did not confirm with him about the purchase. I did not fix a date. I did not ask him to reserve it for me. I did not promise him I'll buy. I did not set a time and date and last minute called it off. All I did was making a first-step offer of a price and a date, to which I decided I do not wish to purchase it anymore.

If like this I'm being labelled as a FFK and have profanities throwing at me, I made about 10 offers to scout for a best price on that same day, does that mean the 10 sellers should do the same like him?

If opinions are on his side, then I will apologize. If majority thinks that I'm not at fault, I don't need an apology from him, he should feel ashamed of himself deep inside.

Tell me what do you guys think?

Ps. Ayway guys, please don't tarnish his thread or bring this issue out of this section, I understand that he just wants to sell his phone off. I want this to be solved here and then.

only a fool would think u agreed to that non-existant deal which u both didn't make. there wasn't even any agreement.

after a reasonable of time, the offer is consider off.

"RM1,000 obo. first to offer RM950 gets it!" - you offered RM900 so theres no way it was a deal.

It's hilarious about him wanting to meet you to give you a lesson. No deal was made and he even had FFKers after you. Potential buyers better not deal with this freak. I guess the 1000+ posts really doesn't mean anything as I've seen even worse freak outs by seniors.

In all fairness, I was the one who asked him to call me a "f***ing idiot" in person cause I was really agitated by his words. But after thinking about it, it might all be a small misunderstanding, which is why I told him we don't have to meet but we can just settle it here and I tried explaining nicely to him. Now he's proving difficult to negotiate with.

However, thanks for your input.

Theres no contract or agreement but why you make a query as if you are interested to get it form him? You are offering to COD after 20th Feb, thats sound like a genuine interest. But when you had other offer, you kept the seller in the dark thinking that you are still interested. Thats not very responsible of you, at least apologise to him for making him waiting, wasting his time.

there was no deal, no agreement and nothing firm. the point is, he made an offer for fun. my allegation is that he made an offer and ffk. it is that simple. he offered to meet up, i accepted, and he ffk again! lol. its a pattern.

blinky: in all fairness, you should have made it CLEAR that you werent taking him up on his offer. replying his PM should have been the least you could have done. you left him hanging, and as a result, he became tulan. besides, you *had* to add fuel to the fire by showing off your balls and asking him to come find you.

to the rest of you, stop your pointless talking cocking. i dont see any point in this thread. there was no deal done, nor pending. bottom line: thread lock.
