/k/ sifu please come in
recently a friend of mine want build a pc around 4k budget but thats with included casing and monitor

monitor price is set already eyeing for the Monitor Dell S2216H 21.5inc coz size permitted is small for rm540 so which is good

so that leave us the budget of RM3460 with Casing at the last in mind

friend of mine want a PC for design and slight gaming purposes and i asked her to do the homework and research
and this is the list that she gave me

p.s. the mobo going to look for one with 4 slots for rams due to how much ram it will requires for friend's workload

QUOTE
Mobo GIGABYTE B150M-HD3
GPU ASUS GTX1050TI 4G EXPEDITION
CPU Core I5 7400
PSU Cooler Master v650w
RAM Kingston (d4 2133) 8GB x2
HDD Barracuda Desktop 1tb

and this is my list after further studies
QUOTE
Mobo MSI B150M PRO-VDH <---- i picked MSI sebab got 4 ram slots and later can upgrade to 32gb if later get 2 more 8gb ram
GPU GIGABYTE RX460 4G
CPU i have no idea what is best in terms of budget
PSU Cooler Master v650w <---- i also think this is good choice, any PSU sifu here?
RAM Not sure also
HDD I think Barracuda Desktop 1tb is good enough liao otherwise i would get Western Digital Black if budget permitted
SDD Samsung 850 evo 120gb or 250gb I would suggest my friend to get this too due to the workload
put it mind that my friend had budget for the casing not more than RM400 and for cpu cooling too, i think preferable noctua since i heard how good it is

lai lai sifu please gib suggesttion opinion since sifu always says get so and so and some cards are not worth it
sifu please help

RM400 for casing, you can consider Fractal Design Define C. As for CPU cooler, just use stock since no OC is involved.

V650W for GTX1050Ti and i5 seems like a overkill, but it is good for future upgrade

Even though stock cooler is enough, I still prefer if you have the extra budget, add a 100+ CPU cooler for safety, you know Malaysia temperature lah...

If budget allows, sure. For RM199, one could get AIO liquid cooler too ala ID-Cooling Frostflow 120

This seems perfect enough for what you asked for. Double check the price again at your local PC shop as it may vary.

You didn't state what kind of design work she does.. Photoshop? 3D? If there's rendering work.. Better go for more cores..

But graphics cards tend to get more power efficient over time. Unless you plan to SLI the 1050 ti (why would you?) a good quality 500w is more than enough. Save some $.

More as a safety measure, running 50% power of PSU will be a very cozy range, as I also mention 650W seems a bit overkill, but if you got the money ,why not, maybe she will upgrade to 1080 or Titan since she is more on graphic editing.

Don't use xigmatek, I don't trust this brand hmm.gif I rather you use Corsair, however I would point out that Coolermaster V series PSU are in tier 1 range
