Lifting off the screen slightly as in the sides not stocking properly? All 3 screen protectors also having provlems at the sides?
*
First sp was normal type, no problem, but chipped when the phone fell from bed to floor (I dozed off while using it).
Second sp was full screen, but the top, bottom and sides were of different material, and can feel the joint when I swiped my finger across them. The sides at the edges of the screen were not sticking well.
Current sp is full screen, all glass, but still slightly lifting off at the side of the screen.

I disagree with you on the fingerprint scanner. The fingerprint scanner is working perfectly.
If your thumb has dirt on it, the scanner tries to match it with the image you supplied during setup, it doesn't match, so it is rejecting the access. In this instance you are blaming the iPhone thumb scanner is not working.
I say the security is very good.
Same for wet fingers.  You know that water can change the view of an object, causing the image to be distorted. This image will be slightly different from the original the iPhone has and thus, it will not allow access.
The thumb scanner is setup as a security access to the iPhone.

I agree with your comments completely. If I can add, it actually requires some practice and getting used to before perfecting the art of doing it right. Making a sweeping statement to condem something is someone's way of venting their frustration when things do not turn out right is an age old malaise.

QUOTE(666devil @ Feb 19 2017, 09:58 AM)
I also agree with u. In fact I raise concern on those fingerprint scanner that can still work if hand wet. How secure really is their security system? Even distorted print image also allow to pass.

i dont use wet/dirt hand to unlock, i truly understand how a fingerprint sensor should be use on
but from most feedbacks, some claimed other android phone can unlock with wet/dirt finger tongue.gif thats the reason why they fxxx Touch ID lol
*
Disagree or not, it still the worst fingerprint to me. smile.gif

So you all means all the previous iPhone that have fingerprint included latest iPad Pro 9.7 is very unsecured as it can be unlocked as well when slightly dirt or wet. rclxms.gif

It is understandable if too wet or dirt can't unlocked and none of the device can and it defeat the purpose of fingerprint if can, but what I mean is slightly which means even already wipe of with hand the water/dirt but it still not really functional due to it is not fully dry or in perfect clean condition. I don't purposely use wet hand to unlocked it as well but sometimes it do happen even though it is very slightly but not means it won't happen.

Thanks for the sharing and the writing. I always like to read such long and detail sharing. Your sharing is a good reference for Android users who are considering the switch. I fully agree with you that they should remove the home button and add themes especially free themes like those on Huawei phones. The notification could use some modification, personally I prefer Android notification.  Since I am not in a rush, I am taking my friends' advice on waiting for this year Iphone. However rumors say that the price could be at least USD 1000 and that is really a premium price to pay.
*
Ya I forgot about the notification, the notification in android is did far better. I not really bother much on notification, thus I forgot about it. iOS notification is not perfect but still ok.

I hope USD 1000 can get 128 GB else it is very too high price. This year 128 GB already cost RM 4,299, please not be 5,299 later in this year version.

And you're gonna use all that? I only keep the most used app on my phone, others will redownload when needed.
*
For the download apps (not the pre-installed one), mostly I used (I can said 90% I used).

For games, I seldom play actually, haha!

U have a point there. However my oneplus 3 finger print sensor is much more accurate and a bit faster compare to my 7 Plus.

Actually iphone 7 fingerprint recognition easily loses out to say e.g. Mate9, one plus 3t. It is isn't that great as so many users think. Another point most high end Androids are equally if not even better in smoothness.

At this point in time I personally feel that fingerprint sensor on a phone is merely for convenience purpose and not security purpose as it honestly doesn't add much security function to a phone because it can still use passcode to unlock anyways.
With that said, the FP sensor on the 7+ is terrible and even a bit wet (just a bit) it would render the FP sensor useless cuz the sensor becomes moist. I tried same finger with iPhone 6 oso work better. The FP sensor on 7 plus is honestly one of the worst I've used on a phone, not convenient at all.

Totally agree with you. Fingerprint is more on convenient than security. Without that fingerprint, it still can unlocked by security code.
Actually anything can online, nothing is fully secure anymore.

Want fully secure use back non smartphone or specific design phone for full secured.

If it spoil, ask your friend paid for it. Ice is different, way too cool and will generate water inside.

water damage is not cover for iPhone 7/7+
there is a liquid contact indicator inside all iPhone models, refer here https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204104
if this thing does not change color, when you send in for warranty, then nobody can tell your phone get water damage before biggrin.gif

This going to be a troublesome day. I think I pull it out within 5 seconds. According to apple we should not charge the phone within 5hrs which I didn't too. Just pray when it's out tomorrow it may back to normal. I can still see some minor water mark inside the screen.

Can't believe some said that the lousy fingerprint sensor is a feature *facepalm
It's obviously one of the shortcomings of the 7 and 7 plus. Even the slightest moist or oil on the sensor would render it totally useless.
