Not too probable. If got warranty can just have it claimed. Not reasonable to fork own money to change or fix the phone themselves if it's under warranty coverage.

I bought many 2nd hand phones before from GS. Just need to do some profiling checks before the deal that's all i'm saying.

TBH, performance wise you wouldn't see like really significant differences between the 7+ and 6s+ in day to day usage. I came from 6s+ before (now using 7+) so I can honestly tell you that

The 6s plus is more than adequate to handle daily tasks and it can easily last you another year or so.
Unless you really need the camera enhancement (portrait mode/better low light/2x etc zoom) and the water proofing thingy then I would say 6s plus is still a good buy.

Haha indeed. I went from 6s+ to S7E but end up still came home to the familiar iOS ground.

Are you speaking in terms of personal experience that there's significant improvement of 7 over the 6s or just based on your own assumption?

6s over 6 - yes. Justifiable upgrade.
7 over 6s - meh. And forking over so much extra for some incremental upgrade only.
If you can afford it by all means, go with the 7/7+. For ppl with a budget, the 6s/6s+ is still a very reasonable choice.

It's easy for others to just give a one liner and say go for the latest and greatest. But we are talking about a 4k phone here.
Like you said, you're just a basic user. You don't even do gamings

Just go with the one which fits you best and not break the bank in the process

No need to sell first.

Get the S8, play around with it and compare both, then decide. That's what I would normally do.

Switching cross platform is quite an hassle considering those stuff you can't migrate over like whatsapp(unless you go for backupstrans), saved games, paid apps and IAP, apps ecosystems etc
Minor stuff like photo stream libraries (if you have multiple idevices)

I wouldn't switch regularly unless it really needs to

That's bit too under utilized indeed. Should downgrade to 32gb.

For me 64gb is the sweet spot.
128gb is also a bit overkill for me.

Hmm. I don't see how the numbers of years of usage can translate to the capacity since this is a phone not your PC

Games, Apps, videos and music for instance, we recycle every now and then so no point keeping those in the phone in the long term.

Pictures (and again music) probably yes.

But still, just saying. Get THE phone for absolute future proofing.
