QUOTE(TuX @ Mar 1 2007, 05:40 AM) Is Canon going to release new Ixus soon? I'm actually planning on getting an 850 IS. Should I wait or get it now? Just go get the 850IS now, the latest model will come nonetheless. Compact digicam are being replaced every few months or so, there will never be a 'latest' one for you : For example, you dun wanna get 850IS and it's obselete replaced by 860IS, after you get 860IS a new model comes out with BETTER IS and maybe bigger LCD, higher megapixel and more function than 860IS ... just 1 MONTH after 860IS and it's called 860IS, how? You want a camera, just go out and get it, the 'latest' one will never come, trust me! This post has been edited by ac98: Mar 1 2007, 04:28 PM

QUOTE(Joshua_0718 @ Mar 1 2007, 04:39 PM) What do you mean actually? My last line sums up the entire paragraph ... the 'latest' one will never come becoz eventually one model will replace another model, savvy? Added on March 2, 2007, 3:39 amQUOTE(kb2005 @ Mar 1 2007, 08:34 PM) Yes, too square and no IS Oh noooooo ... the IXUS' shape is called 'rectangle', my camera is called SQUARE, a perfect SQUARE Added on March 2, 2007, 3:42 amQUOTE(tabbycat @ Mar 2 2007, 12:36 AM) i bought a 850IS and so far it was a superb camera except the blue lines that often appear on the screen whenever the cam is faced to the light source.. It bothered me alot. It's entirely normal, the bigger the LCD the stronger the 'line'. It's blue is becoz the camera's AWB (Auto White Balance) function tried to counter the yellow light source. Dun panic and go running to the service centre just yet! This post has been edited by ac98: Mar 2 2007, 03:42 AM

QUOTE(tabbycat @ Mar 2 2007, 02:23 PM) Haha! AC98. Thanks for telling me that. My mum almost make me to go back to the camera shop! Hehe.. But i didn't. You're most welcome. Most owners, even shop salespersons dun even know that, I got that info direct from Canon's technician. It's rather common sense actually, instead of producing a GLARE like what we see from our naked eye, the light cast a straight line thru the lens and seen on the LCD, that's all, nothing is spoilt.

You can't, especially when there are a few source of blinding lights but can't do much, it's either that or you use the viewfinder
