for me, it is always natural for human to run forward. which also means, instinctively, attacking form is more favorable to all. however, our team put a lot of effort in 'defending using our bus' during JM era. defending is hard.. running backwards, discipline in maintaining the line, marking your assigned player etc.. you cannot simply go 10 match with total attacking style and then on the 11th match you go super defensive. it won't work..

Wouldn't really say he is a puppet but he is the right man for the expectation of the board. The board expectations and fans expectations are miles apart.
