I wanna share my friend's work, Faizal Rahmat. He's a trained architecture who has a knack in doing 3D stuffs. He's so in to it that some unmentioned party commissioned him for a 3D job. However, the deal fell apart as the project was abandoned and he didnt get paid. He refused to reveal what actually transpired nor the parties involved.

The Vocket recently published an article about him. So I thought I'd share it here so we could all marvel at what this ONE PERSON could achieve alone. I was amazed at his sheer talent and determination to pull this off alone. So hopefully by sharing, he might get a better job next time around.

A lot of studio in Singapore will appreciate this kind of talent.

60% actual source, 40% own creativity. For the job, he solicited the details from a lot of sources, including UTM's own architectural heritage center, KALAM, which is renowned for its collection of architectural heritage drawings. however, many of the other structures like the defensive wall, timber structures etc are lost and there hardly any visual reference for it.

so in those cases, he took liberty to add his own creativity to project what could have been back then using external reference like colonial dutch/portuguese architecture as well as chinese elements.

will be better if know which part of melaka on map and what year.

just my own idea... maybe make video of modern melaka.. then the scene change to 1400's during sultan melaka.. with the same exact angle and landscape (except the sea claim part)
