Ok, one more issue guys. I am really sweating right now as I put in a large lump sum amount into Kenanga Growth Fund and CIMB Greater China Fund.

When I click "View Holdings", I see the button PAY NOW at the right hand side. I already PAID!!! It shows status as pending. Yet I got email confirmation from FSM + FPS and also the money is taken out of my bank account.

Please help, I don't know what to do anymore.

i was like u when i started fsm smile.gif

hmm.gif I think that should be this....
Regular Saving Plan

Yes, a few forummers had got it....

May I suggest you read this then provide us with your opinion about this feature instead.....as a possible mean to jump start the opinion discussions as and when other forummers deemed worthwhile.
Why You Should Consider FSM Managed Portfolios?

Yeah read it and also the other infomation in the website regarding the managed portfolios. Since in a fresh graduate and baru je mula kerja, i believe the agressive portfolio would be the best option to me. Im aware of all the risks and the 1.25 service charge and the 0.5% annual fee. I also know that this portfolio (and the other 4) are well suited for people like me la, who have no interest to research and manage own funds smile.gif .what i would like are opinions on people who have bought the portfolios as the trial run graph of the portfolios seems good.

hmm.gif what opinion may I ask?
well, I had Moderately Aggressive since it launch in end May...till now has a gain of 2.04%. .....nothing to be report about since this port is just 2 .5 months old

well on this ....." suited for people like me la, who have no interest to research and manage own funds" .......
this managed portfolio is just a extra portfolio of mine for I also DIY my onw funds thru FSM for some years.
what I noticed that some forummers that had managed portfolios also has their DIY port too.
*
Alright then, gonna try the agressive fund on top of my DIY portfolio and will see the performance la. Yeah too early to make any judgement also. Thanks man

1 user can only have 1 portfolio. If you want another managed portfolio, you will need to open a new account or beneficial account.  smile.gif
*
Wow, i didnt know this.. i wonder why would fsm implement this rule.. alright thanks for informing man. If open new account i dont think can open under my name dy as they will ask for ic all right, unless they allow a single user to open multiple accounts la.

I guess if thats not possible, the next step would be either to top up this current portfolio or manage on my own la..thanks again

Anyone on the agressive portfolio for managed portfolios? Would you recommend this portfolio over the balanced as based on the trial run by fsm the return of investment for the balanced and agressive portfolios do not differ much

Thank u

hmm.gif shouldn't one select based on one's risk appetite preference?
the past performance and the projected returns of each portfolio are based on past and projection....thus future performance are still unknown......
*
Of course its still unknown, but we can use the past performance as an indicator on how the portfolio is going to perform in the future.

I dont mind taking risk, but based on past performance the agressive and balance ROI does not differ much. So is it necessary to go for agressive when balanced is performing and performed well so far?

er.. for that 5%+/- "discount"/sales?

i dunno about U but.. personally if my favourite groceries store has a:
1. 5% sale, i wouldnt stock up more - just buy ngam ngam enough balanced macro nutrients
2. 10% sale, i would stock up a bit more
3. >=20% sale, i'd make a special effort to drive AND break my monthly planned budget (dip into savings excluding buffer)
4. >30% sale, i'd rob my EPF A/C2 & liquidate my kids' SSPN to buy MUCH more
5. >60% sale (other than KLCI during ASEAN currency crisis, never saw before several markets-wide happening), i'd start robbing my flexi-mortgage  laugh.gif this is a bit scary though heheh

just a thought - no absolute right/wrong ya, just different strokes for different folks
*
Errmmmm nothing to do with discount but its because of the political issues in Malaysia which are affecting the local companies. My managed portfolio is down by 2% in profit hence the suitable time to top up:)

Not really if u are for the long run. This drop is temporary ma, the virus will go. Its a matter of when
*
I agree, for those who are in the reds, please be patient and continue topping up ur funds as usual.. this is just temporary.

What im more curious is what was the fund managers hired to managed the managed portfolios in FSM were doing when the malaysia’s cabinet started to gone haywire.

hmm.gif I think they cannot do much for the time being...for they are "controlled" by the set target allocation according to the portfolio risk selection/type..
there is a limit to the amount of % they can pull back, switch or allocate more
image is an example I found from the managed portfolio factsheet....
*
Then next time i sendiri control my portfolio lorrr tongue.gif
