QUOTE(puchongite @ Mar 16 2017, 11:34 AM) I think the market this round has digested the rate hike earlier, so the adjustments were made prior to the announcement. Thanks for the alert anyway. But I also don't know what to do if it tanks. Maybe just hold, and top up opportunistically. Talk about tanking, I still remember my dear old PM fund. When it tank, i'm holding it dearly and keep topping up. And they never bounce back. WTH! Anyway, now I'm getting wary of such similar situation. i never know what is worth holding.

may i know when there is dividend declaration which resulted in a steep drop of NAV, do you add more fund into it, while the NAV is low?

QUOTE(young_97 @ Oct 27 2017, 04:51 PM) Thanks for the info. I understand stand that topping up now might not make difference in short term. But I was thinking that the NAV will shot back up in due time to the original price before dividend announcement, no?

QUOTE(puchongite @ Oct 27 2017, 05:05 PM) The bold is an independent event. If after distribution, this fund is able to shoot up to the original price before distribution, then without the distribution, this fund will be able to shoot up higher than it's current nav. Thanks for pointing this out. I didn't know it is an independent event.

QUOTE(Cactus89 @ Dec 14 2017, 09:53 PM) Managed portfolio should be able to help you to achieve 7-10% provided you are willing to pay the platform fees annually. I have both DIY and managed portfolio. For DIY, I do monthly DCA. For managed portfolio, I'm not sure should I just leave it or still perform monthly contribution since there is now a top up option.

QUOTE(wkalvin @ Jan 5 2018, 02:04 PM) for those guys invested in managed portfolios, did you see a better return compared to DIY ? can share ? tqvm My DIY is better than portfolio, but I did top up alot during December for DIY, but didn't top up for portfolio. So I guess, cannot compare apple to apple.

QUOTE(tcgien @ Jan 27 2018, 02:40 PM) I asked the staff. She said only today 0.5% for those who can't attend the seminar Those who come to seminar will get 0% for today Lol. I purposely got to get the voucher. should have just stay home. by the way, the voucher stated that is for 'new investments only', not top up. and only can use for 1 new fund. i was assuming 0% for every top up.
