Happy new year to all!
Jus realised most of my holdings gave double digits return in 2019. For those jus started out investing in 2019, good for u! Should be solid profit. didnt dca as frequently as i normally would , unlike past years. Hoho 2018's losses more or less covered by 2019 profits. Big relief.. |

QUOTE(WhitE LighteR @ Jan 4 2020, 01:12 PM) Finally had some time to tally my 2019 return. Lucky u. 20% is so good alreadyAs of end Dec '19, return only at 16.64% dragged down by injection of new capital in December to reposition for 2020. If no new capital injected, the return should be more closely inline globally because as of end Nov '19 the return stands at 22.03% There is 3 down months for me in 2019; May, Aug, Sep How long u been investing? 2018 was the bad year. Anyone investing from jan2019 will have positive double digit roi |

QUOTE(PrintHelloWorld @ Jan 24 2020, 03:07 PM) Hi guys. Was thinking of buying into Affin Hwang Select Bond but with the recent BNM OPR cut, is this still advisable? Bonds only make up 20% of my portfolio and this is mainly just for diversification purposes. And since this fund mainly invests in Asia region, it should be ok rite? Thanks. Why not reits funds? |

QUOTE(YoungMan @ Feb 20 2020, 09:26 PM) ok. I always had AmAsia Pacific REITs - Class B (MYR) in my portfolio for diversification. its still flyingggg (+52% now, invested 6 years)Btw anyone going into REITs? I am eyeing AmAsia Pacific REITs -Class B (MYR) but seems too high now. Looking at its past performance quite good, and not too much exposure into china/HK. its hard to say 'high' or not.. as long the REITS are giving good returns , the fund will continue to fly. and also not much china exposure, only 2+% |

QUOTE(GrumpyNooby @ Feb 20 2020, 10:14 PM) should be opposite? in low interest environment usually go to REITs for the return..And Reits benefit because bank interest is lowQuoting the chief investment officer for AmFunds : REITs tend to outperform when interest rates are low and underperform in a rising rate environment, and this has proved to be largely true for REITs in Asia-Pacific. |
