*
Ahh yes

I think the main thing is risk appetite.
Buying UT - at least have fund manager to make decision for you
Buying stock- depend on yourself . How to choose from thousand over stocks.. If simply follow other to buy easily lose more than the extra charge
*
True also, small players better just buy UT, big players makes more sense to play stocks

so what is the charges u notice they charge?

is it the same calculation as the stock fees?
*
Seems like it.

I bought at RM8.75, 2 lot. Total is RM1,750, paid around RM1,760+

Processing Fee: MYR 8.80 + 6% = MYR 9.33
Clearing Fee: MYR 1,750 x 0.03% = MYR 0.53
Stamp Duty: RM2?

Not really sure what's the final amount, still not posted in my account.

fsm always gives promo when market is at a high hahaha
*
When market is high, less people will buy so they have to give out promotion to incentivize customer to buy.

No reason to give out promo code when everyone is rushing into the market to buy stocks when the market is low

Their revenue is based on sales charge X unit sold, no harm earning less per fund if they can push up the unit sold

With the Ukraine Russia war not stopping any soon, it will rise further but you sell all or partial? If sell all then need wait for drop to buy in? Or to you this is one off make monies? Not only resources, all commodities, energy, oil etc related are green color and that includes ETF also in those theme. US,Asia tech is suffering at the moment up and down roller coaster ride. If still want US stock best to focus on value stock over growth stock as discussed in latest FSM Spore article. And healthcare, infra, utilities also doing ok only tech stock dunno kena jinx or what cannot make it currently.
*
The reason that I buy this fund is because of the RM50 bonus campaign. Now that I have received the units, don't see the reason to hold it any longer.

I'm not in because of the commodity bull run or what not, holding it will mean I will have to monitor the price frequently.

Thanks. Still confused but I'll start with RM200 first, bi-monthly. Planning to change it to RM400 monthly if I'm not selected as one of the lucky 300. USD1 for RM200 is > 2% cost so bi-monthly may not be a good idea.

Thanks all.
*
Also take note that you will incur another round of sales charge when you sell.

My RSP amount is RM200/month for each funds, so probably I can ride it out as my investment amount is not much.

How about those who are committed to a higher amount of RSP and can no longer hold for much longer? Would you reduce your RSP when then price is lower now?
