Reits fund underperform very much.

And for dividen fund, whats the diff between normal eq fund?

I sometime don't find dividen fund stable or appealing also...
*
Difference? One is dividend oriented, the other more to capital appreciation? I had a quick look, affin dividend +5% for past 6 months, ponzi 2.0 is 3%+ for the same period.

Dividene funds does have its advantages.. Hehe

Isnt dividend for UT is just calculated back into the NAV? so got what different between capital appreciation ?
*
QUOTE(Ancient-XinG- @ Jun 6 2018, 09:05 PM)
yea lo... how it works arrr?

I tot in UT dividen is use hole cover hole? no?
*
Im not 100% sure, but i think u misunderstood the 'dividend fund'.. dividend fund invests in equities which give out consistent and high dividend. this is how they gain profit..

on the other hand, eq funds invest in equities which has potential upside, not necessary need to have dividend as criteria. The fund's profit is mainly from capital appreciation.

Dividend fund and giving out dividends to holders are 2 different things biggrin.gif

simple illustration = reit fund invest in reits, equity funds invest in equity, dividend fund invest in dividend stocks

Correct me if wrong laugh.gif

Correction equity can mean dividend oriented companies. Equities is basically another fancy name for stocks. So is entirely up to the fund manager to decide which path he/she/they chooses. They can choose dividend paying companies (with track record of increasing dividends yearly), or they can go for those companies which hoard all cash to themselves or mixture.
