top up Eastspring Dinasti & RHB Shariah China Focus Fund on 22/2 & today. actually the NAV already up 20-40% in the past 3 months, it is normal it dropped 10% this week.

Continue buy by batch.. already drop 10% this week. if will take 6 months to go back to previous peak, earn 10% in 6 months not bad for me.

last few months many people see Cathie Wood as the next Warren Buffet.
But this week saw some supporters started saying bad thing about her already.
maybe for some people, stock market every month up 15% are normal

Do you need go pay another sales charge(5.5%?) if switch to rhb equity fund?

If yes you may consider to withdraw all out and invest online. Just my personal suggestion, For beginner may start from Stashaway, FSM managed portfolio or put into stable return for example sspn asnb .
I will direct cut this rhb bond fund if it is -1% after 3months I invested if i were you in this case.

If want to switch this rhb bond fund to other rhb equity, may consider rhb global AI fund or rhb shariah China focus fund if you can digest the risk

Indeed, depends on person. Some people don’t care about the sales charge, what they like is the feel of being served and pleased by the people, sometime can show off their financial power or achievement to them, or can know and chitchat with pretty or handsome agents

Just take my father as example, he just don’t care about the sales charge .
Although I told him don’t buy from agent and I can help him invest UT through online. He still insisted to buy from a bank agent. He said that let people earn commission la already know him long time liao no buy from him then no good lah.
Same to saving insurance , he buy from agent too although I also tell him saving insurance not good I can help him buy insurance and invest online

Varies from person to person lah.
Not everybody think same like you...

For some people especially businessmen , the social network with these agent will make him earn more than the sales charge. It can be resource, connection, etc.

Fund NAV up or down is affected by stock price of the fund is holding.
Nav price down due to income distribution not related to the potential of stock price rise.

Maybe we need to review our portfolio also instead of having huge allocation on tech or Greater China that I believe most people are doing, especially since last 2nd half year. Balance and diversify the portfolio with fund related to recovery stocks

Cathie Wood said that her ARK investment is for long term investment. She added a lot Tesla last week at $7xx

Just did my 4th top up since feb crash.
Only focus shariah China focus and Dinasti as I only prefer to at least know what price range I am entering. Plan to add India if dip more.
But I use small amount bullet for long fight lah. Starting from 500 each and gradually increase.

I paid my school fee in 2018 buying lump sum on equity fund at peak.
At that time buying fund > RM5k can get zero sales charge at eUT. Thus I completed my first UT journey with several funds with rm5k each and was scare to add more /DCA during the long dip of trade war
Until end of 2019 Only see them turn green and I sold all in end of 2019 without profit as need the money for house downpayment. Of course at the end I didn’t successful buy that property as the owner changed mind at last minute.
Dunno should say I was good luck or what. We faced Covid few months later and at that time I have the cash from UT back to my hand although no earning from previous investment

I sold around 30% equity in December to take profit/ switch to FI and thus missed the boat in January.
But this round I entered too early.. started enter small amount on 2x feb and keep add on till last Friday. Lesson learnt need to be more patience next time... entered at end of feb actually not lower price than the price I sold at dec. it is more like buy back the mistake I sold

That’s one of the reason I didn’t purchase Equity fund related to ARKK or US with Unit trust and only buy UT for China and Asia market. Cannot foresee US market tonight is green or red before 3pm UT cutoff time. Did experience that buy before 3pm and at night the market crash 10%+ last year Sep
