algozen said so.... biggrin.gif

I was actually looking at the FSM valuation report, compared it to its recent run....
at >10% port....balls sweaty.... moved to less volatile Reits for temp parking

btw,....do have a look at Nikko Am Div Eq.....nice performance + FSM valuation for Spore is extremely enticing
*
i invested to Nikko Am Div Eq with eUT since end of May. IRR 25% since May. I treats it as domestic fund, complementary to KGF lah.
It is a very concentrated fund, 30% invested into S'pre 3 biggest Bank DBS, UOB & OCBC. But, its performance is considerably stable, highly similar with STI.

And, it offer distribution EVERY month. Need to calculate the distribution ourselves to have correct IRR / ROI return.

sorry for asking, but how to read this map?
means market is moving to Asia now?
*
QUOTE(puchongite @ Oct 25 2017, 09:32 AM)
I don't pretend to know how to read it  devil.gif but based on reading the figures assigned, it would appear more +ve more happening and more -ve less happening.

Means brazil the hottest now, then come Japan, north of Malaysia, and so on ......
*
Not, the map only shows the index changes of all the world on a particular day, not showing how the money flows.

For example, yesterday, Nikkei (Japn) +0.55%, KLCI (Msia) -0.31%, STI (Spore) -0.45% and so on...

Guys, will appreciate a reply.

What time will FSM bank in the funds to your bank account on the settlement date usually?

Quite important to know this.

Thanks!

Around 3pm.

I would remove Quantum and replace with Global Emerging Market fund  hmm.gif  Quantum fund has overlap with Cimb APDI...  hmm.gif
No love for REITs?  laugh.gif
*
Erh...
Actually cimb apdi doesnt overlap with affin quantum because cimb can invest to samsung alibaba tencent, but quantum cannot.
This year these giant asia tech stock surge close to 70%, but becuase of quantum cannot invest to them, so its performance just so so...

Damn I’m really disappointed lah. I really thought can get my CIMB Greater China fund money by the weekend. But they say in email reply it is T+5 even though the website FAQ doesn’t say so. Sien lah!
*
Yup, many info in fsm faq are not updated or confusing. For example, no switching lag time for wholesale funds.

If i m u, i wont sell eq fund directly, i normally switch eq fund to bond fund first for credit, sell bond fund when need money.

3. Affin Hwang Select Bond (RM) 10%
4. CIMB-Principal Greater China Equity 10%

Hi all sifus,

Just into UT investment.

Should i put 50k to my cimb relationship manager to run it for me? Or should I do it myself using FSM?

currently she recommended to me affin hwang and cimb Asia Pac.

All sifus, please advise newbie me.

FSM charge 0.8% per transaction?
*
Take her recommendation as reference, and do it urself using FSM.
Max sales charge at FSM 1.75%.

Thanks sifus for the advice.

For now, probably give her 36k ( 18k each) for affin hwang and cimb.

Then, fsm put in 5k each for affin hwang and cimb. Play safe for now.. Hehe...

Not much experience yet on fsm.

Wanna learn step by step
*
I don't understand what is ur purpose to split ur money into 4, then buying the same 2 funds with 2 different ways.
It just wasting the time and effort without reduce the risk....
Buy urself at FSM managed portfolio. 50k can entitle u 0.25% discount immy.

The most aggressive managed portfolio is targeting 10% return maybe can reach 12% return or slightly more. In order to get higher return than that, one has to forgo a diversified portfolio. For example, if one sailang all into cimb asia pac dynamic income or eastspring dinasti, he can get > 16% annualized return. Proven for > 5 years.

Just present a different perspective. wink.gif

Correction this time is not serious, as most of the asia n global fund only drop less than or around 2% from the peak.
If ur portfolio is not sailang to IDS, india fund or japan fund, then the portfolio should be drop less than 2%.
And, today far east stock market go up again, due to tencent delivered excellent q3 result.
So, just relax, not need panic n buy buy buy or sell sell sell.

lol same when you liquidate your stocks and get a hot EQ fund lah this time you paid someone else to do it for you.

for me I treat my entire investment as a portfolio

currently

70% is UT
30% is Stocks

haven't calculate my ultimate emergency reserve which is my property which stands at 700k the lowest to 800k the most st cost price of 500k

meaning if I lose some money in UT or stocks is just 0.5%? so why panic
*
Oh...
It is my first time knowing someone count his property as 'ultimate emergency fund'.

China shares slide on sweeping asset management rules

SHANGHAI: China stocks fell sharply on Monday and were heading for their biggest daily loss in three months after Beijing set sweeping new guidelines to regulate asset management products, which analysts said will dampen investors'  appetite for riskier assets.

Most of Malaysia operated Fund are not allowed to invest to China Stock directly.

If look at stock holding of that "Greater China Fund", they are holding HK listed (like Sunny Optical, Tencent) or USA listed (alibaba, JD.com) China Share for China Exposure.

For example, Eastspring Dinasti has 0 Shang Hai listed / Shen Zhen listed China Share.

In the other words, China Stock have very limited impact on NAV up / down.

This is my port as per 20/11/2017.

How was the diversification & correlation matrix?

Seem like there is some correlation between ponzi 2, affin hwang opportunity fund and manulife dragon.

these 3 are my biggest port.

any problm with my port? too asia pac concentrate?

From geographical analysis, a few funds are overlapping

90% (1) == (2) in Asia/ Asia Pacific
** because (1) got around 10% exposure on Australia.

(3) == (4) == 40% (1) == 40% (2) in HK/Taiwan/China

(7) == 33% (8) in Japan.

Good morning guys,

Probably a very raw and stupid analysis which once taught by my classmate years back.

As on 23/11/2017 12.50pm.

The China CSI300 index is -1.38%.

[attachmentid=9368372]

So, does it mean funds such as

1) DINASTI
2) CIMB GC
3) Dragon fund

will be down today ?

or in other words, i can purchase 1 of these 3 funds today at a low price before 3pm today? ( Buy low sell high concept)

Just a noob concept or imagination by me.

Thanks all pros.

Read back my post # 10112.

CSI300 replicates top 300 companies listed in MAINLAND CHINA - Shang Hai & Shen Zhen.

Dinasti ( and many local operated greater china fund) do NOT purchase Shenzhen / Shang hai list stocks.

Singapore Update : An alternative to Malaysia Market

https://secure.fundsupermart.com/fsm/articl...y-The-Beginning

Taking the components of total return into consideration, we forecast the market’s annualised total return by end-2019 to be 16.6% as of 23 November 2017, making it relatively attractive when compared to other markets. Conclusively, we believe a star rating of 4.0 Stars “Very Attractive” remains warranted for the market at this juncture.

Would you consider investing in ASM as an equivalent to Bond funds?

Looking at the recent year for bond funds (Malaysian) not been doing well at all, while I'm already having a substantial investment in ASM.

I wonder should I rebalance and let go of my bond funds.

Currently my ASM built up over the years is around 40% of my total investments while there is about 5% in bond funds. I am absolutely not keen on selling my ASM, but just want to re-build or re balance my unit trust portfolio.

I believe I'm a moderately aggressive investor.
*
Yes, i treat ASM as fixed income funds.
