Maybe bigger fund size will have this disadvantage. If for example, the mandate is to invest in small cap, too big fund size will result in the fund manager unable to invest in the best performing funds because any further investment will insult in becoming the majority shareholder which SC has a control on it ?

Maybe the smaller fund size will have this disadvantage. The cash pool is small. A few holders sell off their holdings, that will result in the fund manager is forced to sell the equity holding too. In a force sell situation, it results in bigger price fluctuation. Maybe it could even result in the fund be considered to be removed ?
