have to consider the similarity of asset allocation %....
Managed portfolio has a % in FI, while my DIY has no FI but big in small caps....
thus my DIY portfolio had a deeper fall recently compared to my moderately aggressive managed portfolio

you are correct. FI have around 2 holdings in FI
my diy only 0.02% which is the rhb cash management 2 sweat.gif

There goes Malaysia Focused funds for the long terms?

BNM: Lack of quality investments a hindrance to M'sia's future growth
The lack of quality investments, declining cross-border investments and increasing global competition to attract foreign direct investments (FDI) are impacting Malaysia’s future growth potential.
.........
the main obstacles - the country’s tendency to exhibit lower innovation creation and slower development of forward and backward linkages to regional peers, slower economic complexity gains compared to most regional economy and an insufficient number of high-skilled job creation.

so true
with the new government bluntly ''admitted'' to the more racial policies, populist decision, it will be harder to convince investor.
not saying previous government arent.

So if below 55 years old can still use EPF to invest, just like you said even if sell, the $$ will go back to EPF?
Is managed portfolio any great? since the entry is quite high 10 grand right?
*
2 years back need 10k and subsequently 1k

if not mistaken, recently they reduce the amount. not sure if its promotional.

personally i dont like their MP. right before the ''crash'', my diy portfolio are doing better than theirs.
even now my diy still better sweat.gif

1 question. instead of using my cash to buy into PM

is it better to withdraw from epf to invest into PM , and then use my cash to deposit into epf ? does this make sense to avoid high sales fee ?
*
epf only allow 30% of your account 1 (or account 2, not sure) for investment

You receive a confirmation email later once settlement completed with respective fund house.

it will based on 16th

QUOTE(MUM @ Apr 17 2020, 11:01 AM)
this is from their FAQs....

3.6 How do I know what price I’m getting?
The prices displayed on FSMOne are indicative prices, which is usually dated two working days ago.
As the name goes, indicative price is NOT the actual transaction price of the fund that you are buying/selling.
.........
Given that the fund management companies require time to consolidate, calculate and verify unit prices with independent trustees, you will only know the exact unit price two working days later.
You will receive an email from us once your units have been priced.

https://www.fundsupermart.com.my/fsmone/fun...5-Selling-Funds

the transaction statement from FSM, will state the "transaction date"...which will be the date to follow for the transaction pricing....
*
this make sense.
thanks!

based on my experience, if buy on 17th april before the cut off time
it will based on 17th april pricing

did not do much selling so im not sure. this clears up.

QUOTE(tadashi987 @ Apr 17 2020, 11:56 AM)
i dont think this is the case, if u buy on 17th April before cut off time
mean ur effective transaction date is 17th April

end of 17th Fund Accounting/ Trustee will comes out with the 17th April pricing
so you are buying based on 17th April's pricing

if u buy after 17th April's cut off time
ur effective transaction date is 18th April
you will buy based on 18th April pricing
*
yes you are correct.

i will edit that post in order not to confuse ppl
thanks!!!
