Why you choose public ai and not tech funds on FSM?
*
Both i got, Public is AI fund (small amount only, later wanna compare, sales charge 3.75% , now oledi in profit since launch , from 0.25 to 0.2754) + united global tech..... bruce.gif bruce.gif bruce.gif

Public AI fluctuation is high, good for me to dca...... thumbsup.gif

something that I don't understand even after years of investing in funds. What do they really mean when take money off the table but retain some exposure? Do they mean to rebalance? Suppose you have only 5% in tech funds and they make a lot of money, say 40%, do you mean to cut it to 3%?

Another weird thing is, if you look at the composition of almost every single fund, exposure is highest towards tech companies. Be it alibaba, tencent, jd, and telecoms in China, vs Apple, MSFT, AMZN FANGS, tesla etc in US.

While, I do wholehearted agree with the fact that Tech is far too expensive and should come down, I wonder how to play it with funds, especially mutual funds. ETF's are not so difficult.

in the context of mutual funds, switch to what???
I am wondering now, switch to bond funds, or switch to other themes? Because, as I suggest most equity funds have an abundance of tech in composition. Its more easy for me to go to share market and select Public bank than find an equity fund that does not so much tech in it.

i know.....no place to run..... icon_idea.gif
if is me, i switch other fund , no fund, i switch bond fund, no place just let it ......

Anyone have their eyes on Indonesia fund?
I have some bullet ready for the once-a-year (0 sales charges) but still looking around.

Current Portfolio: (High-Risk Appetite)
25% on China,
15% on Malaysia,
10% on Asia ex Japan
40% on Global and
10% on Emerging

Sector is quite diversify I would say, although I am tech-guy, where 30% is specifically on tech fund.

Have my eyes on Indonesia fund or the Affin Hwang Select Asia (Ex Japan) Quantum Fund - MYR.

Anyone can share their opinion?
*
indonesia i no comment
but kindly share why u choose Affin Hwang Select Asia (Ex Japan) Quantum Fund - MYR ???
bcoz small/mid cap expose? or asia ex japan expose??

for me i will choose asia ex japan expose

yea two reason, one is because of the region as my current portfolio not much on that, another one would be small/mid cap expose.
I am holding the affin hwang asia ex japan opportunity fund, and its doing well atm.

will definitely relook on the option for asia ex japan, my appetite now is more on asia as I feel the trend is coming this year
*
But last time ada bro mention Quantum oledi change style n not actually small/mid cap.
This fund ok, but at last i go with affin asia select Dividend.

Finding a fund that hold a company doing AI and I think Nvidia + ARM architecture might come out somethings special in future
*
Search for AI term, rhb got.
## rhb ai no Nvidia.

But curious only.
I ever heard expose to asset allocation/country /sector, but expose to certain stock is first time 😅😅

If fund A got Nvidia 10% holding, and how many % this fund A in ur portfolio? 50%?

Unless this fund manager got same idea with u, how about this year u invest heavily, but after 2 year, this fund manager sell Nvidia in fund A, u redeem ur fund A?
I think u can't control fund manager decision.

I think u should buy Nvidia stock directly, u can hold as long as u wish n decide the % in ur portfolio.

Just opinion.

Ya the sector allocation for AM looks slightly better imo, at least they have a portion invested in the financial sector whereas united dont. But for long term dca then united is more easily accessible as not many can fork out rm5k for each dca/topup. Nvm still hv time to think think for now haha
Extremely nice return there at 75% in less than a year. Hopefully one day i am able to select funds that can give me such returns  lol
*
if i not mistaken, AmChina got tech allocation but United no.... hmm.gif
