QUOTE(Sitting Duck @ Sep 5 2023, 10:18 PM)
I'm happy with FSM and i feel that the fee is reasonable compared with UT (not IBKR).
I have no bad experience with FSM customer service nor ETF RSP.

Only thing to take note is probably there's a fix schedule monthly to sell partial unit (unit less than 1). and make sure you have sufficient fund in the cash account for the RSP.
I think the 0 processing fee is only applicable to buy orders and not sell order. Not sure anyone has any info about fees when selling.

Started RSP to VOO in May 2022 with RM200 then slowly increased to RM1000/month. So far the return is about 12% (note that the market was really good since June 2023).

Btw, this is my own experience and not financial advice to invest. I'm not an expert nor certified financial planner. Just a small duck trying to save as much as possible for golden years.
Thanks for advice. Probably I'm just lazy to go through the whole process. Now that there's FSM, I'm happy with FSM for now. Will explore IBKR in the future if FSM disappoints me. For now I don't want to deal with a foreign investment company and I feel safer with FSM since FSM is regulated in Malaysia.

Thanks for sharing your experience.
VOO has dividends right?
Does FSM charge for the dividend handling?
How much do they charge if there is?

FSM does not charge for US ETF Dividend Handling. but there is 30% Dividend Withholding Tax (WHT) by US IRS.

It’s unsecured. You sure? For high yield unsecured, I’d go for a diversified fund or etf. Secured or first lien then ok.

Yes unless you sign up the RSP during promo when they waiver the processing fee

Even with fee, the fee is still cheapest among Malaysia brokers

https://www.fsmone.com.my/funds/research/ar...-details/281500

The processing fee is only MYR1 for every RM1000, which is 0.1% fee if you invest RM1000 lump sum each RSP.
I don't think there's any platform lower than this at the moment.

There're some cons using RSP or using FSM as pointed by other sifus.

I'm unsure about the fees impose when selling. So far I've not sold any of my ETF yet.

Whether these fees and others applies (https://www.fsmone.com.my/etfs/get-started/stock-fees):

1. Processing fee
2. Stamp Duty
3. Exchange Trading Fee (SGX, HKEX) / Exchange Trading Activity Fee (US)
4. others?

Looking for some advise. I want to start putting money into VOO and VUSXX. Is FSM the lowest fees platform vs stashaway, versa, moomoo?
I dont mind manually purchasing it every month or quarter, but RSP sounds convinient.

Been using the FSMone RSP buying VOO and VT since May 2022.
The current RSP is just RM1 or 0.08% + Malaysia stamp duty.

What I like fsmone is it is very easy to check the purchase history. Suitable for ppl to buy and hold like me.
I also have IBKR sg, but it has so many thing, I dont really know how to use it tongue.gif

IBKR's recurring investment works similar to RSP, and it charged as low as USD 0.35. What I like about it is that it doesn't limit you to buy ETF, you can buy stock too.

I think fsmone is convenient at setting up rsp into cash account from bank account so that I don even need to deposit cash manually

Just set one time and forget it
