Great rule, thanks for the info. However FSM suggested a 40% bond, a little bit too much?
*
hm. it might restrict your earning potential? but when the market crashes and rolls, you might be the one laughing to the bank because of that 40%. so again, no right or wrong, too much or too little. if you feel too much, reduce and rebalance.

*
if not mistaken, you can choose to put it back in your CMF or cheque back into your bank account you registered with them.

then we may need a white tiger fund...to complete the 'left green dragon, right white tiger' concept. some people believe they are the guardian of their house, or in this case, the wealth.

really? my parents always say our house is in the middle of green dragon, white tiger because of the neighbours always fighting against each other. don't sound like a good thing though.

back to topic. we need a white tiger! apa fund macam harimau putih yang ganas??

That's not quite fits the definition of property flipping, even LHDN does not count that asset gain value as taxable.  devil.gif That's investment.
*
DEFINITION of 'Flipping'
A type of real estate investment strategy in which an investor purchases properties with the goal of reselling them for a profit. Profit is generated either through the price appreciation that occurs as a result of a hot housing market and/or from renovations and capital improvements. Investors who employ these strategies face the risk of price depreciation in bad housing markets.

or are you saying investopedia gave a "not so fitting definition of property flipping" as well?

Concept of flipping has to be tied to the duration one holds the asset. If I hold an asset for more than 5 year and sell it after that, and still considered flipping, something is not right.
*
fair enough. so less than 5 years only will be considered flipping then.

i guess it all boils down to which one factor you wan to tip the scale with. you got time to kill? then save up on money. you want to save on money? then kill the available time you have. to one his or her own i suppose?

Have you guys no thought that iFast have to answer to it's shareholders to increase it's income?

Only way to increase income is increase charges. It might not happen now, But will happen eventually especially if they have no competition to keep them in check.

They are a publicly listed company you know. whistling.gif whistling.gif

cross the bridge when you see it? many things might and might not happen. did you foresee a north korean dead in KLIA? all this tit for tat between malaysia and north korea? but you have time to spare and to go south and back. so you can do what you do. no wrong in that. just be careful when you travel though. safety first!

I guess if time is not valuable to certain someone, he will travel to world everyday to looks for cents biggrin.gif meanwhile I believe most other people actually do have constructive things to do with their spare time. An importer could save money if he decided to travel and pay cash instead of TT to suppliers, but the time he wasted, how much opportunity lost doh.gif

and again back to the idea of scales, what factors will you use to tip it to find balance. one benefit found might be one thing lost.
