Last weekend I met with my financial planner cum "low-yau" / hommie for some yum-cha / tok-kok session with some of his friends who are also in the financial services industry.
To cut the story short, the tweeting that I hear from them is no longer which market to go into etc.... but rather which money-market to park the money etc. Take it with a pinch of salt as I am not saying it is a definite answer but rather is something I hear from their chattering.
Then I went back to my Algozen ver four and tinker with it around later and it is true, equities are a no go these days. Personally I am going to get out of US and China allocate more into Asnita, Reits and some ASEAN equities just for diversity. Days of good return is diminishing and I have to content with single digit, slightly above FD rate for my portfolio.

Malaysia won't have hike in 2019 why not going for long term local bond?

I checked YTD bond performance, highest is AmDynamic 5.98% followed by KAF Bond 5.13%..Asnita 4.36%..so these consider safe heaven for next year is it? Hmm..maybe it would be wise to park everything in ASNB too, at least got 6%. Christmas & CNY belum mari but all equity funds seems to enjoy swimming in ang ang red sea and refuse to move up .. Since the trade war started, things have been trending downhill.
I'm expecting bear markets for Trump's current term, at least.
Things will be better if they impeach him, or throw him out at the next election.
Things will not improve until we get a sane person in the White House.
