Hi Sifu, I am new to FSM. I am going to open an account and do some investment. Any tips and recommendation of which to invest? I plan for medium-long term, mixture of moderate and high risk fund or any good suggestion are welcome
*
before attempting to get any investment advise from us please complete the risk assessment questionnaire in fsm and go though page 1 and then go through it once again then go to fsm recommended portfolio and funds.

no more shall any of us give off the bat advise before knowing the investor's risk appetite

Manulife AP Reits over AmAsia Pacific Reits, which one would be the best choice ?
*
if this continues on I'm abandoning the damn fund. I held it far longer than Ponzi 2.0, esther, dragon and india but the damn thing just went less than 2% return. luckily I placed less than 10% allocation.

NOOB QUESTION ALERT :

Should I really include Cash Management Fund into the Polarbearz Excel?  Wouldn't it screw up the entire portfolio allocation analysis?
Ideally we want to analyse our percentages of equities and bonds, but CMF is almost like savings account.  Kindly enlighten me.
*
yes CMF should be part of your portfolio investment as it should be a place to hold down your profits in the future. if you sell your funds and intend to keep them in CMF and pump it back into another fund you need to key in as part of your investment or else it's considered as fresh funds

US economy slows in fourth quarter

US economic growth slowed in the fourth quarter as previously reported, with robust consumer spending offset by downward revisions to business and government investment.

No news is good news. I see the Asian Market is undisturbed at all.

I beg to differ. we are now worried about the local American investors who have banked money on trump tax cut and how he can keep American companies competitive.

Once they pull out, DOW under goes a correction and as they say when America sneezes the whole world catches a full blown pneumonia

US: US equities cheered on a stronger note after Trump's speech as investors focused on the positive tone of his message instead of the details in the economic plans.

Asia: Investors digested Trump’s speech on a positive note and most of the Asian key indices advanced for the day.

Bursa Malaysia: After the FBM KLCI ended lower for four days consecutively, the key index managed to rebound higher by 0.23% to 1,697.69 pts, but still being faced resistance along the 1,700 level as profit taking activities emerged near that psychological level.

Outlook: Without any negative surprises in Trump’s speech, we expect short term buying interest to prevail. As the Dow is on an uptrend intact formation, buying momentum may sustain over the near term with the trailing support anchored around 20,776. Meanwhile, the FBM KLCI is likely to follow suit on a strong buying tone and the key index may surpass 1,700 to revisit 1,730.
