Hi, I just purchased a brand new Hisense 40" LED TV for RM7xx (with some discount). However, some colleague of mine started to question my choice and told me Hisense is actually very power inefficient and can get very warm after some viewing, and it is basically a bad choice.
For me personally, I feel that a 40" LED for mere RM7xx is a steal, consider that I don't have a tv at home.
So my question is, is Hisense really that bad and I made a RM7xx mistake? I still able to exchange it within these few days. So will it be wiser to topup a few more hundreds for other brand/model?

Advise aside... this is 2nd thread about Hisense TV for today... such a coincidence... hardware usually is hit and miss, you can't expect a perfect TV even its branded. Plus... there's warranty covered for the TV right? just claim warranty if anything went wrong. For power consumption you can check the power rating how many watt This post has been edited by mywingame: Feb 8 2017, 03:44 PM

I don't recommend people to buy this brand.. Yes. it's cheap.. but later another few more months, then where some issues will appear..
since you already bought it. just pray it's won't have any issue later.. if can last for 2year.. then it's already good. just change it later.

I had my Hisense for 4 years.. so far, it just another TV but a cheap ones. The downside that I had was the sound.. is quite soft when compare to other leading brands.. Other than that I am satisfy with the TV and the savings I gotten.

As long as the TV performed its intended use and didn't blown up on your face, I dont think its a mistake given its lower price.
