Tier2 builds

Thorns invoker
If your starting out as a crusader, this may be easier to make, because it does not rely on chd or chc, but rather attack speed and CDR; as well as the usual str, vit and all resis which is easy to get.

That said, for grifts not many groups will be interested in inviting you. This is why i did not consider this a tier1 build due to the bad prospects for team grifts. But if your solo this works fine. I'd still consider hammeradin better seeing as most of the top crusaders in ladder are hammeradin for a very good reason, cause that is simplier a better build.

As for angry roleplayer weapon of choice, i was taught that doombringer would be better in terms of dps for the thorn invoker build, not sure why he did add it. I'd compare his build versus another invoker build just in case.

speed t13 rift farming (for grift keys, mats e.g. breaths etc...)

I did not personally test this build because i have no room to store another build set. But this is rated highly for speed farming t13 rifts for mats and grift keys. Supposedly crusaders are ranked in top 3 in regarding to speed farming in rifts.

1. what items are worth keeping for using, kanai or to salvage as junk? Use this site. It's outdated but it's better than nothing. Hopefully someone will maintain something similar

3. This site you can do a few things. filter by latest patch e.g. 2.4.3 then select top all time, sort from most voted to lowest in order. This is how you find good builds to play with S9 despite not knowing much. Theres also another use for this site. Using filter, add the item name of a piece of equipment to find out if any of the latest builds for S9 uses them, if not, or it's a very unpopular build then the item is probably junk. So this is another way to tell if you should keep or salvage an item.

however a few of my pieces is still work in progress.... looking for the following

helm - chc/blessed hammer/str/socket

glove - str/vit/chc/chd

bracer - holy/str/lph/chc

weapon - dmg10% / str/lph

shield - str/blessed hammer/cdr/chc

replace other pieces with higher stat rolls, also some emphasis on better secondary affixes like melee and ranged damage reduction if possible. for example, do i need CDR in glove? according to other crusaders i've spoken too, not really. They suggest Vit, though my own perspective i'd either Vit or LPH on either glove or bracer, but probably not both because i worry that vit may be dangerously too low.

Also weapon do i need CDR or is LPH better? Still figuring which is better in regards to just how much CDR i need




my mini hammeradin guide
hammeradin is squishy, but is playable if you do it right. You need to make sure your akkarat's champion is active, and using CDR to keep trying to maintain 100% active for it when possible. Falling sword ontop of enemies to mini cc them, or get out of a bad situation. And if your really taking too much heat, fall sword away from enemy then keep blessed hammering from the edge of the enemy cluster and stutter step kite but still in attack range. Keep maintaining that pattern for high grift pushes where it feels like you can easily die

If your really brave, you can fallen sword ontop of cluster and keep hammering while maintaining 100% akkarat's champion, and to keep fallen sword to basically make yourself immune to damage, increase your damage and to also renew mini cc at the same time. So the window of opportunity for the enemy cluster to smack you dead is really small, because by the time they can kill you, your already up in the air immune, and healed up hopefully thanks to Life per Hit stat, on top of redundancy prophet and immune to death blow passive in case you mess up

Hammerdin with unity I can pass GR85 solo but kind of hard to push, survival is critical issue. Less effective against Juggernaut elites.

This is not the most pathetic thing about Crusaders.

The most pathetic thing is people kick out Crusaders in public grift game.
Crusaders are pretty much lone rangers now.

Only during bounty then they will welcome you~

Hammer can actually do group but i guess no one tries

People tried.
But the damage is not as good as fire-bat WD and archon Wiz.

One slot for monk.
One slot for barb.
One slot for WD
One slot for Wiz.

One backup slot for DH.
No slot for Cru. Cru kena kicked out.

I stopped playing for 2 seasons.
Resumed playing in Season 8, played Crusader.
I puzzled why people kept kicking me out of grift public game.

Build a LoN Bombartment Cruz, then do solo like me, solo king

Dh cant group mobs, only fok legacy can push top
High paper dps but get outdps by lesser paper dps chars

Wiz is way above dh in GR pushing

They r nvr wanted in group dps or support, look at leaderboard top 10 - 4,3,2 man party u will find 0 dh

Rolled a Crusader midway in the season, and didn't check the current meta. Thorns saders don't seem to do well outside solo, and are too overreliant on mob spawn positions in grifting. Any suggestions for improvement?

LON bombardment is the best for now.

Other class have got 1000-3500% or more from their set/gears.
They can do tons of damage, particularly Wiz and WD.
Crusader just doesn't have that damage output.

You look at Akkhan set, it's 600% damage from full gear set. It's pathetic.

For thorn build, I'd rate LON Bombardment > Akkhan+2-piece Invoker Bombardment > Invoker set.
LON has the highest damage output (+1300% damage). So, it is the best for now.

Long time no play, any new build for Crusader?

The easiest one is Invoker thorn build.
It can do GR90-100 easily.
Easiest to gear.
