hi guyz,

m using avg free edition, and this morning suddenly msg appear. it says i need some kind of license. i m suppose to activate it by license send to my email by grisoft company. i reinstalled it also same. what can i do????

I think it require you to upgrade from 7.0 to 7.5 version only.

reinstallation simply wouldn't do it...you must activate it by using the license sent to your e-mail in which u have already given when u registered to avg....hope this helps....

i 2nd that .. most probably it wants you to upgrade to the latest version

i installed recent 7.5 this morning and got same problem. i dont know how to get activation number since when i installed it i didnt register or activate o email anything since i m using free edition...

may i know what is ur OS?
i believe when u using server OS(NT, server 2000, server 2003) u would comes to this matter

i m using windows xp home sp2..

I hate reading the License Agreement, make me headache.

its might be posible that u install a trial version rather then a free version.
becoz AVG does provide trail version up to 30 days.

check and see if its trial or free version

i finally found out problem. i was using non activated windows xp home edition. after activate windows properly and reinstall it, it work like a magic. so if anyone got same problem, itz due to your windows and better check windows. avg free editon dont have any license unless you are using proper os.. thx for all of your help..

She's using the Windows which she haven't enter the activation codes,
that's why the AVG Free didn't works, after she enter the Windows activation codes, the AVG works like magic
btw, what's ur problem with ur AVG? What message appear on ur computer?

No, I mean, it's not about her expired lincense of AVG,
it's her Windows XP activation codes,
I think u r using trial version of AVG instead of Free Version.
Do check out again at AVG's website to get AVG Free.

if im not mistaken, there is no trial version for AVG. its come totally full version and free. i had download the setup files several times from the website. and never found the trial version

Got mehh.. Use for 30days period, then cannot use anymore..
