Already got some hamsters for adoption in LYN, give them a good home but if your bf's sis don't want to invest in a pet that is only a mere RM15 to RM30 or adopt a hamster that is available.... then I think she is not fit to have a pet coz the care and money that goes to food and bedding cost more than the hamster. A true animal lover will not judge a pet like that.... I mean, it is a life... and she ask you to breed so can get some free hamsters for herself.... erm.... that is not the aim for breeding.

I breed, I'm not against breeding for quality but I am against breeding that has no proper objectives. If you want to breed a good lineage and temperament from the hamster then yah, go right ahead and breed according to standard, health and temperament.... I see many breeders not doing this, all also breed coz wanna see baby hamsters or because a friend told them to breed or because a petshop insist the people get different sex hamsters....

Also, do remember, not all dwarf hamsters can get along.... and not all breedings become successful.... cannibalized babies, injured female and male, bloody fights....

Do remember, certain hamsters are best solitary than in pairs.... Winter Whites are prone to fighting when they reach maturity and they normally fight for space... They may be brothers or sisters but once there is a dominance problem, they will fight to death. So better just have 1 hamster or separate them.

Yes, you can either separate using different cages or using wire mesh. It is best for their well being lah.

Many people thought hamsters are easy and buy pairs and pairs.... but then it is not always easy and smooth... sometimes when you are lucky, you will get a good pair that doesn't fight.... but sometimes the fights are so bloody that you will hate having hamsters later.... so think first. Pearl WW are harder to find coz harder to breed. Most males are Sterile... infertile lah.... so cannot breed. And when Pearl female breed with other colours like Agouti or Sapphire, it is normally 50% pearl and 50% other colour if we read according to book.... but for me, by experience, can say it is normally not accurate.... sometimes out of 6 babies, only 1 or 2 are pearls....

We all breed in small scale.... nothing commercial. Only want to breed quality, not quantity hahha....

Yups... that is the commercial breeder, but my friend is considered ver good coz he lets them rest, also they get their own tanks than what you see in Malaysia... the commercial breeding here is damn horrid and bad.

It could be that she was bred too early? Coz females when they breed around 4 months old, I think this is for Robos coz they grow slower.... anyway, I'm no Robo person so not 100% sure.... but in general, females that are breed when they are sexually mature but body not fully developed, then they will have stunted growth. Their babies will be bigger than them. Also, this would mean shorter lifespan....

This is why, as a pet, better not breed. Their lifespan is cut short coz of breeding.....

Sexing is easy.... look at the genital and anal spacing.... if the space in between is small, then is a female.... if there is a larger spacing, then male. You can google for picture.

If you wanted a hamster that can be held and touch, you should not have gotten a robo. They are more of a display hamster than a handling hamster. There is no way to solve it coz their main instinct in life is to run away from predator, which hamsters tend to see humans as predator coz of our size.

You keep 3 together and siblings? Do you know that there is a high chance they fight without you or your brother knowing? Read the 1st page and also google Syrian care, all say they are Solitary animals. It is pitiful to keep 3 together....

Also siblings... if they mate how? Animals do not know they are related. As long got male and female sure mate. If the babies born with some kind of defect or the female gets birth complications how?
