I need help on determining which is the best & cheap 4K HDR tv in malaysia right now to match with my ps4 pro.

The following criterias are needed:

4K resolution (3840x2160p)
HDR 10bit
Input lag <30ms if possible

My budget is < rm4000.
Tv size perhaps 49" or lower

I understood that some tv offer different HDR results and when we use HDR mode, the input lag will be increased! But can be rectified by using Game Mode.

So right now i had my eye on these 2:

Sony X800D 4K HDR tv 43" - 43" using VA (vertical alignment) panel which offers best color quality, 49" using IPS
Samsung KS6000 4K HDR 43"

Or should i just stick to 1080p since 4K HDR is still new at the moment? 1080p on ps4 pro to me aleady looked gorgeous and quite smooth when playing my Battlefield 1. Currently, i am using samsung 40" UE5000 LED tv.

Summoning all 4K tv sifus and otais to give some insights thanks! notworthy.gif

i think last time i went to harvey norman got a 52" 4k UHD from LG for rm3.8. i may be wrong though

it's probably just some marketing tactics, but a lot of their TVs are being sold for pretty cheap

agreed on the smooth frame rate > resolution, but this is 2017 and perhaps 4K graphics should be the norm by now.

Samsung KS7000 costs quite a bomb. Saw one at SenQ priced at >RM6k for a 55".

I surveyed around at Harvey Norman and SenQ Queensbay yesterday and Sony XD800 was nowhere to be found. Well, there is XD800 but the 49" though whereas i am looking for the 43" version.
Senq just sell XD700D which is it does not have the TRILIMINOUS color system (give higher quality color) and XD850D is wayy over my budget (RM5,999 for 55").

Yeah, saw Harvey Norman is doing some stock clearance yesterday, selling off many LED TVs and some 4K tvs are cheaper prices.

Yeah perhaps i will wait a much while longer and to see whether better 4K HDR tv with very affordable price will be available soon.

But if you guys have other inputs, pls feel free to contribute in this thread. icon_rolleyes.gif

as others have mentioned, KS7000 is probably at this moment your best bet for gaming.
extremely low input lag with HDR enabled.
nothing beats that TV for now.

I was eyeing the LG55B6 for awhile, but read that the OLED screen has image retention issues so using it as a monitor is ill advised(currently using my 50" W800b as my PC monitor as well as gaming screen), so that's out of the window.

55" KS7000 - 11street at RM5064. Dealer shop is in Ampang. http://www.11street.my/productdetail/samsu...gh-end-25891358

Another quite good deal i saw is at Harvey Norman IOI City Mall. Vaguely remember it was RM5.6-5.8k but come with additional 3 years warranty (on top of the 2 years by Samsung Malaysia).

I am still waiting for the time to bite the bullet....

EDIT
Another reason why i like the KS7000 is because of the Smart Hub. Less wires crawling up the wall. Planning to mount it.

Guys, i saw samsung 55" MU series. Is this tv good for PS4 pro HDR mode?
Selling for rm5,499 at senQ.

MU55 series vs KS7000, which one better?

Then sony X8000 55" caught my eye too. Selling for rm6,999 though.

Now it's already 2018 and i believe many 4K tv already matured in the market plus with affordable price.

There is not much points to get a HDR Tv if you only have 3k-4k budget and want a 65 inches 4K display
The TV in these price range just aren't good enough to display the intended HDR effects

I wouldn't trust these Chinese brands either (Sharp , Haier )
Most of their tv usually have a major flaw lurking behind that beautiful low price like the LG entry - mid level TV

( The only exception being TCL , which seem to have pretty good Quality control . Unfortunately it is unavailable in Malaysia )

x7000e is not really that good , it is an 8 bit panel . Very wonky brightness ratings and being an IPS panel , the price to pay is having a terrible contrast .
It also doesn't support 5g network . It is still better than the low end LG TV that uses RGBW panel but that isn't really a compliment.

For a similar price in the budget range , the Panasonics and Samsung are a a much better choice unless you are looking for IPS screen

The MU 6 series are good budget TV . It has very low input lag , which is very good for competitive online games or FPS .

Being an Entry level 4k TV , the HDR performance is very limited . its peak brightness is not anywhere close to being bright enough to showcase the intended highlights of HDR content. If you want better HDR you have to look somewhere else . It also doesn't has local dimming and Wide color gamut , sadly
