Timing chain and timing belt is not based on variant bro, its the Engine.

Even some luxurious car like Volvo is still using timing belt so we can't say its something completely insane.

But no doubt that Timing Chain is a peace of mind compared to Belt

Yup, I know that. Luxurious car used high quality timing belt bro, thats why we dont care. Malaysian car use low quality timing belt. Thats why for Malaysian made car, I prefer the one that use timing chain. And I agree, using timing chain give a peace of mind biggrin.gif

Yup, chain is better than belt. Belt need to be replace after certain time since it can break. Chain dont have too. Axia also use chain.

LOL..

There are pros and cons la.. except for longevity there is no hard n fast rule that chains are better than belt..
BTW, chains can break too.. n in most instances belted engines are usually quieter..

Well my point is in the longevity part. Thats why Im saying chain is better. Chain can break but the possibilty are very low. Belt on the other hand can break easily if you forget to change it after a certain time. Both have pro and cons, I agree. If you wanna peace of mind and don't wanna worry about timing belt maintenance, go for chain one.
Btw, im sorry for bringing up persona (with use timing belt) and starting the war. In the future, need to be more careful. LOL. Previously this forum so slow moving, but everytime that car name come up, lots of people come pouring in to defend.  tongue.gif

Treat..

As regular maintenance schedule.. irrespective belt or chain.. at least tat should be d way instead of choosing either as de sole criteria.. biggrin.gif

Like I said, it is a personal opinion and not a conclusion on which one is better. Its not about choosing which one, belt or chain. It just knowing wat you need to do if you get that type of timing. For a peace of mind, go for timing chain. You can also go for timing belt but you need not to forget about the maintenance part.

afoka
please, if want to argue belt or chain better, go other place to argue. one time stating it ok liao, no need to prove Bezza is superior than the rest, we are all owners here. as other previous LYN says, both has pros and cons. small thing like this dont la go report, you both are Bezza owners, behave like a professional and not some kid 1st time own car.

ANY mechanical part, be it be static or rotating, it will wear out and need replacement, even chains. anyway, there's belt on the other side of the engine, why never ask perodua replace everything with chain? sometimes belt is logical, depending on the application.

BOTH are correct, but both jgn makan dedak, and reporting one another is like...duh.

cheers

Nobody saying bezza is superior. Yes both have pro and cons, but some people just can't handle it. You see, even you start to think I try to say chain is superior. Im not saying that LOL. BTW who afoka, I never report him. LOL. Well I'm sorry if you guys feel offensive for just a little opinion biggrin.gif . BTW, you an admin and you go to public telling who report who. Very profesional indeed. rclxms.gif

I feel you, mine has spots and scratches all over. Discovering additional ones every time I wash my car.
Guess we can wait for Autospa Touch/Ezy Touch Up Pain to release color variations specific to the Bezza range? As for the scratches I'm slowly accumulating more before sending the car for some good old polishing.

if u want to argue that u did not say chain is superior, go look back at the words u chose e.g. "Malaysian car use low quality timing belt", "Yup, chain is better than belt". this is misleading when u say u dont support it somehow. but it is a good thing to have, not a must thing to have from my point of view. i like belt cos it looks nicer compared to covered up chain lol.

but sorry about the afoka, someone reported him for flaming =.= now his post disappear. but to all, dont report your own friends, later forum kena tutup again.
*
Firstly I didn't say it a must have. I said clearly Malaysian car is the one that have low quality timing belt, not the whole timing belt in the world. What because I said Malaysian car timing belt is low quality, suddenly you conclude I am saying chain is superior.LOL. Secondly, I said chain is better as my opinion on this matter. I didnt say you must take my word like a saint and follow it. People come here for an opinion not for a conclusion. This is an open forum. Everybody just given their opinion. If it is misleading or not, its on you to decide and make your own judgement. Or maybe everytime I post, I need to put "In my opinion" to avoid this problem. I report if someone instead of using good word they try to mock. And if afoka is flaming, there is no problem reporting him. Just because you are afraid this forum got ban, doesn;t mean we cannot report anyone and let everyone do as they want. With you as an admin, no wonder last forum got ban. If you wanna continue this argument, be my guest. Very profesional indeed. Calling other "makan dedak" ..."like a kid"... rclxms.gif. You yourself is being offensive you know. biggrin.gif

May I know where to find the color code for our bezza? I try to search it all over the car body but can't find it. I use the Ezytouchup website guide to find the color code in the car body but didn't find any. Afraid if I buy online and choose the wrong color.

Anyone installed arm rest ????

Attached Image
Got it from Auto Lab Sdn Bdh , good built quality and easy to install. Just remove the existing short screw and use their provided longer screw.
Only problem is that it'll block out the rear charging port which I remove it and hide it underneath the handbrake cover and use a usb extension cable to use it for my car cam
