A New Year, a new entrant! While "A new challenger has arrived!" may seem appropriate, the Colorful Group has been around since 1995 and only got into the PC hardware game in 2000. Key focuses include motherboards and graphic cards. This also includes gaming and powered modding entries.

After the long CNY break, it's time to get back into the game. We hope it's been a blissful two weeks with loads to eat, many moments of merriment, and awesome times of get-togethers.

Once again, the Colorful Group has been a long-time player in the PC hardware space, specifically the motherboard and GPU segments. While we have been around for over a decade, we feel it's only appropriate to go into detail as to what Colorful really offers.

Attached Image

First up, the motherboards.

Having closely worked with both Intel and AMD, Colorful has a wide range that cater to the already extensive line of CPUs that the two have produced. From the latest Intel 7th Generation Intel Core processors, AKA Intel Kaby Lake, to the AMD Zen family, we are ever ready for fans of either brands.

Attached Image

Further exemplifying the fact that Colorful is ever ready to meet the various needs of users, our motherboards come in very familiar flavours - Gaming, High Performance or Power User, and Primary Usage. Of course, the latter is for the common man while the first two are meant for those who demand the very best for an immersive videogames experience or PC modding enthusiasts. Keep in mind that all motherboard entries in the Colorful family properly represent Team Intel and AMD.

Each CPU chipset that Colorful made are designed and loaded out with appropriate features that fit the different usage types. From the gaming-optimised IGAME and eSports lines to Battle Axe and Battle Flag, and Warrior motherboards, indeed there is an obvious sign of how we name our product lines, all are made to specifically provide the very best performance in their respective product classes.

As newer CPUs appear from Intel and AMD this year, more will show up from Colorful as well, so please do come by often as we ramp up 2017 offerings. Those keen to look up our products can do so here: http://en.colorful.cn/

Next up is a quick look at the GPUs that we have in our stable!

Right now, there are multiple locations to get our offerings. This includes Low Yat Plaza, specifically Sri Computers and Atom Computer, similar vendors at Digital Mall PJ, and even Lazada has a specific page for our brand: http://www.lazada.com.my/colorful/

We will be sharing on our GPU offerings as promised so do keep an eye out for that soon smile.gif

It took us a while but here is the next in-depth post that focus on our GPU line-up.

-----

You've read about the motherboards that Colorful has to offer. This round, it's all about our graphic ranges. While the motherboard line saw an equal mix for Intel and AMD, there is only NVIDIA for videocards. Of course, all of them come in overpowered performance deliveries, high-powered customs, mid-range capabilities, and extensive entry levels.

Full disclosure: We're not discriminating to AMD Radeon. In fact, we love that family of GPUs too but it's no as extensive

Let's start with the offerings from 2015: all our takes on the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 900 Series. From the still decent for most and can be used for high-end gaming at strained extremes, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950, GTX 960, GTX 970, and GTX 980 Ti takes all come with the very best Colorful has to offer within non-exploding wallet budget pricing.

This, of course, includes dual- and triple-fan configurations, jet black and arctic white hued cooler blocks, stock and custom liquid cooling add-on solutions, silver-plated heat-sinks, oversized and compact design configurations, SLI support for all, and streamlined design elements that takes inspiration from super-cars.

Users who still want to work with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 900 GPUs can consider the following as they are our top-sellers:

As for our NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10 takes, well, it's easier to show than tell:

It's an easy guess that most of the best features from the previous generation have been carried over and updated with advanced processes that raises the overall graphics performance for all next-gen Colorful GPUs.

This includes the advanced air and liquid cooling concepts used, the racing patterns for the cooling blocks, and the overall look and feel that the Colorful brand is known for.

Among the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10 entries, the best of the lot are as listed below:

Why so? These are made specifically for folks who want to overclock quickly and seamlessly, know they need new powered graphics systems, or require power-saving concepts that still deliver the high-spec outputs that the new NVIDIA chipset is known for.

All these are now available on our Colorful section at Lazada (Colorful @ Lazada) and major ICT stores in Low Yat Plaza and Digital Mall PJ.

After going through what is being offered in the Colorful stable, it's time to share about the efforts we have carried out in the gaming space.

Let's look at the regional eSports event that we put together at the end of last year. Called the Colorful Games Union or CGU for short, it is one of the first events we'd put together with relevant industry partners like JD Game+ and NVIDIA.

The CGU, focusing on eSports teams that operate in Taiwan and China and invitationals from foreign lands, saw groups coming together at Taipei to play in a massive event gathering that saw qualified finalists play-off against each other in the globally popular League of Legends (LoL). While many turned up to watch the showdown between four closely related rivals, namely VTOP, JQ, SUP, and AHG, face-off, the same crowd also turned up for Blizzard's Overwatch exhibition match, featuring NGA and LGE.

Attached Image

Organising the latter is, of course, to show what could be in store for this year as Blizzard's popular first-person shooter is likely to be included in for the 2017 edition of CGU.

With four teams going in head-to-head, JQ takes the crown as national champ as it beat the rest to become the CGU 2016 winner. Now all eyes are on JQ to see if it can hold onto its reign for this year.

Attached Image

While last year's CGU had more teams hailing from Taiwan and China than US and Europe, this year will implement changes that are more viable for teams from overseas to join in. Of course, a bigger stage and better prizes are being planned for as well.

Keep up with this channel to find out what else we have in store with eSports for the coming months.

This week, let's consider an in-depth feature that focus on a powerful motherboard entry.

Called the Colorful iGame200 range, it is a motherboard series that pairs with the newest Intel 7th Generation Core CPUs. Of course, this new high-spec line-up also provide support for the previous generation Intel 6th Generation as well.

Attached Image

As per providing even more performance with the next-gen Intel processors, the latest iGame200 motherboards also promise performance enhancements and energy efficiency capabilities that take advantage of the new features the Intel CPUs are packed with.

For the Colorful iGame200 range, the following progressive features are introduced: GameStorm Full Coverage Armor, GamerVoice 2.0, GameStorm eSports Interface, Killer E2500 Networking, and DIY Multifunction Overclocking Button.

It's pretty straightforward what each specific element offers. With the metal covering, it is to protect the motherboards from dust and potential weight damage. It's a nice touch that the armor also provides a dynamic look and has native support for DIY add-ons. The communications, gaming, and networking aspects provide the very best experience for eSports and gaming enthusiasts, making sure that the PC rig not only looks great but is able to deliver top-notch gaming experiences.

Attached Image

The last aspect, of course, is for those who prefer to do their own custom modding. The button has various modes that ensure easy maintenance and one-touch system boosts can be achieved easily.

If anything, the Colorful iGame200 family of motherboards are made to be multi-role platforms that offer a beefy mix of features that all users can engaged as and when necessary.

It's a little dated to do this now but it feels appropriate still because the GPU from Colorful is very much worthy for some time in the spotlight.

After all, it carries the word 'limited' for a good reason and that is, well, more than enough reason to be featured.

Attached Image

We're talking about the Colorful iGameGTX1070 X-TOP-8G Advanced Limited GPU.

Just like its mainstream counterpart, this limited edition take on this graphics packs in everything from the original and adds in new features that focus on three key aspects: performance, cooling, styling.

Attached Image

Beyond the Silver Shark cooler that Colorful developed and the optimisations given to the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 platform to provide the exceptional performance that Colorful promise its users, new levels of customisations have been thrown in.

Key to this is the RGB lighting that the Colorful i-Ring fan sports, neutral gray/silver tones used on the entire chassis, Boost Ready one-key overclocking, similar tweaks that are exclusive to this 'limited edition' entry, and 8+2 phase digital power supply design that Colorful developed alongside its iGame Pure Power system.

Attached Image

All of them are used to ensure the Colorful iGameGTX1070 X-TOP-8G Advanced Limited graphics is able to deliver a promised 1657MHz clockspeed with a turbo boost mode that ramps it up to 1860MHz easily.

This is definitely an entry most can consider as it is not overly expensive and would, with enough savings, be able to meet most pre-planned budgets for current or soon-to-be-built rigs.

The Colorful iGameGTX1070 X-TOP-8G Advanced Limited GPU is now available at all authorised Colorful dealers. If there is even more cash to spare lying aroumd, then do consider the Colorful iGameGTX1080 X-TOP-8G Advanced instead!

As we wrapped up the highlights of last year's closing months, a big reveal event took place for Colorful Hardware.

Attached Image

While many Intel 7th Generation Core motherboards appeared alongside NVIDIA and AMD Radeon GPUs, one particular entry stood out.

Attached Image

Indeed, this particular bad boy is a real stand out based on looks only and the additional add-ons that we have thrown in like optimised cooling capabilities that packs in triple-fan system and oversized cooling block.

More details on the Colorful KUDAN 2017 GPU will come out soon so do check back often!!

Aside from the Colorful KUDAN 2017 GPU, we also put out another graphics that introduces something totally new. If anything, we like to think it's never been done before!

Attached Image

Do you see what we see? No?!

Hope this visual helps:

Attached Image

Yes, it's a proper LCD display on the GPU. This is how the new Colorful GPU will be able to help out users tell the temperature, clockspeed, GPU load, and fan status. How is that for total convenience?!

Having the LCD screen, tiny as it is, shows how Colorful is thinking ahead and not one to play the 'Me Too!' trend. In fact, we like to think that LED lights are a little too passe now since everyone is doing it!

Hey Sai86, thanks for the quick tip and massive support!

Still getting used to operating with code in this forum. Also, another noob question: WB GC? GC I'm guessing is GPU...WB is?

If you are referring to the previous post, it's our take on the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti with our own cooling block and LED counter readout. If before that, they are the upcoming GPUs that sport, respectively, the liquid cooling block we made especially for smaller form factors and a heavily optimised air-cooling system.

Thanks again and do come back as we will have more updates on these cards soon!

QUOTE(sai86 @ Apr 22 2017, 11:43 PM)
For youtube vid, just copy the code will do - eg. 1st video "P2B7SkLeZGQ" without the " thumbsup.gif

and what's that WB GC??  drool.gif
