I'll buy the game IF they've tightened up the air control (the orignal console one had pretty loose air control)
Air control is essential in a game whose main aim is to jump for person to person biting their heads of.
That IS the aim of the game right?

ok.. now that I've played it again I remember why I don't like it. - Air control is very bad, hard trying to position your little alien to chew heads off. - The enemy is very cheap, as a Metal Slug veteran I don't mind hard games, but I really hate cheap enemies. - Level design is boring for the most part, but every now and then you get something interesting to do.
It's a nice game if you need your arcade platform shooter fix, but it's no Metal Slug if that's what you're expecting.

This game is real HARD even at medium difficulty, but I find the bosses satisfying which is the kind of game I like! When compared to the GC version, its seem that they have upped the difficulty. For those who made it to the top of the leaderboards Behemoth (the developer/publisher) is offering real nice well deserved trophies as follows: QUOTE In order to receive one of these coveted one-of-a-kind trophies, just be the top ONLINE leaderboard scorer in the following categories: Local High Scores posted to the Leaderboard Alien Hominid HD - Main Game - Hard Difficulty - Weekly Leaderboard - Based on highest score Super Soviet Missile Mastar - Monthly Leaderboard - Based on furthest distance traveled Xbox Live Online Multiplayer high scores posted to the leaderboards on a RANKED MATCH ONLY! (no exceptions) PDA Games - Ranked Match - Monthly Leaderboard - Based on highest score All You Can Eat - Ranked Match - Weekly Leaderboard - Based on most bowls won/eaten in a week. However the best part is, that they will even post it to achievers in this part of the world , QUOTE Since our game will be available world wide, if you live in a distant land we will do our best to get your trophy to you, but we can't guarantee anything that is not personally delivered to you by Uncle Sam (I.E. US Postal Service). for further details and a pic of the nice trophies click HERE.

I bought it. It was hard for me at first, but with a short learning curve. Some of the latter levels are well designed with different gameplay especially when u temporarily get your ship back. Once you get used to it and learn to focus only on the bullets, it gets a lot easier. Between for story mode you can only coop on the same console not on Live. But the Mini games are fun, easier and most are playable on Live.
