My dad's old merc have vkool golddust done for RM700, mom's kelisa use huper optik for RM1k. Golddust less visibility from outside but UV not so good. Huper just make the glass a light sea green color but supposed to block 90% UV or sth like that. I prefer tint that can give a bit of privacy. Even if kena JPJ also no worries if using approved products with cert.

I also feel like replacing the safetint on my gen 2 windscreen with something more effective. The safetint doesnt seem to help much at all.

Hi Guys, I just changed my front windscreen shield from Solargard to a new one called Dynasty. Did at The Tint Shop as the boss say is new product from US, RM450 for the front only. Tested the IHR very good, better than Solargard.
Problem is, too good until block the GPS on my phone and Garmin! I called the boss and he said like that then they can cut a hole in the middle for the signal. That'll be very ugly, is that the only solution?

QUOTE(lonely143 @ Nov 29 2012, 07:27 PM) Yes unless you got extra wire that connect to your Garmin Pull the extension wire and stick it on the top of the rear mirror because nearby the rear mirror, There is place whereby it do not covered by the film due to the "uneven surface". If this do not work, just go to accessories shop to fix it No wire woh... Is cutting hole in the middle a normal fix? Most of the time I use my phone gps on a suction mount or gecko pad on my dashboard.
