Will be getting my car soon.

The Honda Showroom that I went to said that got promotion for ecotint.

They say that 30% or 20% (forgot which) will be supported by them.

Does this mean Honda recommends eco tint?

QUOTE(changshen @ Apr 26 2008, 08:03 PM)
just tinted my car with Wingard Royal....apparently first 7 days cannot touch the window.....then rear window cannot use the heater...then can see bubble...but has been told even before i sign up...cause it say is water...need to put the car under the sun to dry it off....is that true?..any expert here?....

Even if its water, it will only turn into water vapour. If there is no way for the vapour to go out, eventually it will turn back into water. Unless the film will absorb water to make it stick to the glass, I would say better get rid of the bubbles. I'm no expert though.

I had the e-Prestige equivalent tint on my City last time but peeled off by Puspakom due to change ownership.

I didn't have much issue with it. My car felt warm inside after leaving it for full working hours. But the heat dissipated quickly after aircond is turned on. Bought it at RM850 3 years back and back then there were no upgrade for raybarrier for windscreen.

But a few days back I found a shop which is selling TSER 68% JPJ approved film for only RM750. This is a steal and will install it to my two cars.

Anyways, it is worth to note that even with different tint brands, the product is very much similar.

e.g: Company A carries product A whilst Company B may seem like it is carrying other types of film, but in fact the film itself is the same. So if you can find the same film at a much lower price, why not grab the chance?

But bear in mind that mostly you are paying for the workmanship & after sales. So getting from a reputable brand makes sense to most ppl.

@ Kirie

Sounds expensive...that shouldn't take them that much time...maybe 5 mins to fix it and they can use leftover films for them...
