can any 1 identity what film they are using for each brand?
because to make more margin, most tinted film is imported from china, hence lower cost. those who import USA film have higher cost. some import from Korea also. i heard right, china film at 1st same quality say heat rejection. after 1 month, the quality depreciate very fast, feel like 90 drop to 60 IRR like that. any experience? |

QUOTE(pky @ Jun 8 2013, 03:03 PM) I claimed windscreen + tinting film for both FWS and side from MAA, etiqa, Uniasia. What I did was, send the car to windscreen workshop, have it replaced and ask them to hold the insurance submission. Next day, I send to tinting specialist to do the job and bring the receipt over to the windscreen workshop to have him submit together with the claim. Then follow up with your insurance claim department to check how much has been paid to the workshop and go claim take back the tinting money from the workshop. IT JUST A FILM. Of course, you have to tell the windscreen workshop that you intend to do the tinting by yourself and expect him to pay you back when the claim is paid out. There's a workshop which I encounter who want to submit my claim at higher price to the insurance company and with that price + my tinting cost, my premium definitely not enough to cover. So, I have him changed the windscreen, paid him cash(a lot cheaper than the price he is going to submit), do tinting, and submit insurance claim by myself. Insurance send me cheque after their process. Shattered so easily even with security film? That's why I always doubt the effectiveness of the security film. my windows was shattered too, the shattered glass did also stay intact even though I'm using the normal film. and the window is JUST A GLASS. nowadays people very easy get cheated with the key word SECURITY FILM pathetic people pay high price for the thin film, expecting SECURITY. when you BMW got into accident, you expect the bumper just got dented ? not just because you pay high price, then you can get SECURITY. |
