08.03.2012 - Just installed 6mil security tint from Coolmaster Ultra Solar Tint Shop in Taipan - on Perodua Viva.
Bought the voucher online = RM278 for 6mil security film(4side window) and 2mil(front and rear).

We did pay extra top-up:
+ RM150 to upgrade front & rear
+ RM20 for windscreen sun visor(the black upper part)
+ RM50 surcharge for removal of old tint.

Total: RM 498

Sad part is: when we took the car from the shop, there are visible bubble on all 4-side window. I could see some dust particle trapped in the bubble too.
The shop sales person told us, that it was normal for 6mil security tint film to have bubble, and will disappear within 2-weeks.

Anyone here share their view/experience too, please?

Note: I would say that their customer service are not bad. *So far, the shop people are friendly and willing to help when I complained . They didn't show grumpy face.

I noticed that my security film 5mil look blur(like waves) from certain angle..
Is it because of the bad quality tint or because it is security film?
Noticed also some edge of the tint is easily peel. Please help.

Guys, how effective is Solar Guard compare to V-Kool Elite?

anyone here can clarify about nano ceramic tint?. i'm not an expert, decided to use solargard ultra performance series which is the only available option to claim my tinted voucher..

around 1.8k (c-segment car) -> (front = LX70, rear+side = UP 40).

based on spec on their official site (ultra performance series), TSER only 40% which is low but i don't know why the price quite expensive. however they gave me a testing using some kind of light bulb, and the result is really convincing.. it use advanced nanotechnology with ceramic tint, i guess that is why the price is expensive. no?

How is the price below for Huper Optik with Solar Optik ?

Front Huper Optik Ceramic 70
Back + 4 windows Solar Optik Titanium 40

Total price RM1100. Expensive?

its really small. so the shop say not cover. coz its handmade not machine. and the buble is due to dust inside. its not visible but i still can notice it coz im abit particular with my car.

Hi all, I'm using the Huber optik for my new fiesta. So far so good. but the workmanship is terrible, every single window have bubbles cause by dust. I request to change and the answer is just it is normal. WTF! At the end, manage to change for 2 windows, but the workmanship is even worst than before. For those who stay in Penang, please think twice when u want to go to Breyton, Krystal point. May be they think 1.5k is rather cheap for them and no need to take it serious.

Greetings all~ I am driving a kancil.. After read thru the post here, i just realised that thr are many types of tint..    and expensive for some of them... But anyway, wat do u guys recommend for my kancil tint?

- Cool under hot sun (at least cooler )
- I wan it dark ( privacy  ) (some frens did 2 layer 90% tint) <---- lol
- Prefer Silver / black tint
- secured or nt nvm ( i don really care abt security xD)
-budget A ---> go for <RM500
          B ----> go for RM1500 < x

Any idea or recommendations?     thanks

Or top up some to go for Huper Optik or 3M.
Any GPS also will delay....
If really want use GPS or Smart Tag can try change to nano ceramic film for FWS <- Not recommeded 
Vkool elite plus armorcoat for RM1.9k = Potong kao kao, now seldom ppl go for v-kool and 3m already due to film life, metallized base film(Effect electronic signal) and price still very high
If u dont care of Smart tag or GPS or Autogate not friendly then can go for 3M Crystalline, if always use Smart tag or GPS or Autogate then go for Huper Optik 

Done my tinting at Agard today. Overall, I'm very satisfied with their service. The branch manager, Mr. Tan (Alan) provide a very good demonstration as well as explaining about the tint. His explanation took around 15 min. Then only he ask me what is my budget.

Their workmanship is also awesome. They finish my car in less than 30 min. 4 workers per car.

I'm on limited budget bro. Around 1K only. Don't remember the exact spec but the IRR is around 70%+ & 5 mil. 

They had a complete package from 500++ to 2000++. Just depends on your budget. 

And he gave me 10% + some personal discount. 

Btw, he also mention that the price should be same at all the Agard branches in Malaysia. And that 10% is their current promo. 

Think so. Only remember the '50'. lol

Heard of all Branded Film here, still think that most important is the workmanship.

I have my tinted with MasterGard. Great workmanship
plan to tint my second car with them.


But the workmanship seems so so only. (still prefer MasterGard)
But of coz we did not expect too much since it was a promotion from Groupon.
If pay for normal price , it is not worth for try.

I think the case about blurry Huper film was in relation to the security film. Steven, since you install Huper security film have you experienced this before?
- Never, Original Huper Optik film even just tint and not fully dried will not blur when u look outside from inside

When you say clearest you mean highest VLT?
- Not VLT, i mean when you sit in the car watching outside, it's super clear not like other film(Including V-kool & 3M)

- It's not true bro, depends on which film. Please welcome to my shop anytime, i will show you the Huper Optik, V-kool Elite & 3M Crystalline film

Aside from that I heard metal film might oxidise (perhaps not the good ones like V-Kool) and metal also blocks smart tag, gps, etc.
- Yes, Even V-kool and 3M will also but not so fast.

Dunno if true or not. I think the Huper sales push this point a lot, saying that their ceramic film will not block these things like metal film.

Yes metal reject heat better than ceramic =)
- Slightly Agree but Metal Heat rejection drop faster than Advanced Nano-ceramics
